What would make you a believer, in 2022?

I don't think there is anything we can do that will stop us from being bottom 4 next year.

I just hope that people like Pascoe, Lee, Madge and Sheens don't make panic decisions to save their careers. 2023- there can't be any excuses whatsoever.

we need a miraculous recruitment window to get anywhere near where we need to be. 2022 is going to be tough.

For me it’s getting this review over and done by this Friday , it’s only a half job anyway , then start signing the guys we want up so we can go to the break give the guys some clear time away and come back with a full roster all ready to start pre season together , bar injured guys , but I want to see all hands on deck ready to go as quick as possible for the pre season , I want to see photos posted with the new guys all together like the old days ,group shots , all in the tigers gear smiling it up for the cameras , this goes for the juniors as well , get there heads in the tigers site make sure it’s a full club initiative , Flegg , 2 HD grade , top grade , this year has been so negative we need a big positive start ,

Oh my, some of these responses shows we are all truly in need of help.

For me though, effort. I dont care who is here running the show or playing, I just want effort. I want other teams turnign up knowing that are getting dragged into the sewer and will have to fight to win. I want every player crawling off the field at the end because they have no more energy to give.

Effort, just effort.

I would love just one marquee that is a true marquee, that has the fans of the 15 others teams saying "wow, did not see that coming". Like when the Roosters signed our best player in Tedesco (except that didn't surprise). Like a Turbo, or a Munster or Ponga etc. Some team's absolute best player.

What i would like to see for 2022 is that there remains **stabilty** within the WT **boardroom**.
Relatively speaking, the WT has avoided such boardroom crisis, such as the bulldogs have had and probably still continuing,

Story by, Nine sports the mole 11 months ago:
*"FORMER Canterbury premiership-winning skipper Peter Tunks has appealed for a cease-fire in the brutal civil war that is engulfing the club.
The Bulldogs have been fighting boardroom battles for decades, with constant sniping between rival factions.
In the latest spat, forces are attempting to pressure Chair Lynne Anderson and prominent figures John Ballesty and Paul Dunn to stand down from their positions"*

As i had mentioned before, even uncle Politis didn't achieve success in 2 years, it was long after 9 years, but when the WT boardroom is providing the necessary direction, management and the up to date resources for our team then there can be **no more chances left** for the **WT** to be **trampled** over by the **herd of the NRL teams**. The sleeping giant is awakening.

Nothing unfortunately. A good coach would make it interesting with room in the cap to sign a few players, then I think we can compete for 9th 🙂

I would like to see the club show some more courage.
Make a few bold predictions in terms of success on the ladder for example.
If the club made public their goal is to win at least 10 games, then the entire club is committed and focussed on the how. If they fall short fans would at least be happy that they gave it their best shot.
Maybe their goal is to increase defensive effort to the point of having less than 15 points scored against for 12 games?
If anyone says their goal is to win every game, while admirable, it’s not working and I haven’t heard anyone in the club say it with any conviction either.
C’mon WT, make a bold statement, then follow it up with commitment?

Wests Ashfield to sell the club.

Yep, I'm starting to warm to this idea of private ownership. And, maybe even relocation to Perth.

Radical, I know, but it could solve a few inherent problems that WT, as it is in 2021, seems incapable of solving.

Short of that, I'd be happy to see Lee H resign or be booted in a board coup. The man is nothing more than an entitled sports fan using his position to get a media profile, much to the detriment of the club.

I'm not sure it'll happen, since the COE was purpose built for the club.

However, no thanks to Perth...
East Brisbane Tigers, I see the value in.
I would follow them on a move like that...

Bennett as coach.
Munster as captain.
Harry Grant too.
The new Melbourne storm.

Anyway, preference is none of it happens and we improve and become competitive and successful....

Must stop this talk now.
We're scaring @cochise
Sorry mate ?

Mate.. I would be joining you straight away..

East Brisbane Tigers.. 100%!

Pascoe to be shown the door. A move fulltime back to Campbelltown. No Tamworth, Bankwest, ANZ or Leichhardt. Gaffer tape 24/7 to Hagipantelis
Wouldnt make me a believer but it would give me hope.

For me, effort, line-speed and no unforced errors.

We've come full circle and all roads have led to this beautiful moment...
It's Grand final night and as the mighty Wests Tigers are ready to take the field, we take a moment to recognise what has been the most unforeseeable and unforgettable year, ever. This reinvented Wests Tigers side will go down as one of the greatest in Rugby League history.

Who could've predicted that Lady Luck would so brightly shine down on one of the most embattled clubs on the planet?
That securing the signatures of a couple of solid leaders and an unknown talent - in the off season - could untap so much potential, rejuvenate and reinvigorate the careers of the most maligned players in the NRL.
Or that we'd see a team that slightly resembles that of '05.
What was once a runaway train, is now a well oiled machine.

The pure genius of Sheens was instrumental (in this) but it was the tactical prowess of Madge  and his sidekick Mr Robbie Farah, that helped turn the tide.
The newly hired sports psychologist had his work cut out for him. But he did the impossible. Breaking the biggest of barriers, to have every single squad member of the WT playing beyond their capabilities.
Believing in themselves and their teammates. Lifting themselves and their teammates.
This is nothing short of a miracle!!
Tonight is a special celebration to the fans of the Wests Tigers and we hope they continue to be unstoppable and unrivalled as we now go to kick off.....

In all seriousness if we manage to not get the wooden spoon and can sign one or two game breakers, in whatever form, that's a win in my eyes. But yeah I'd be content if there was more collaborative effort, some pride and passion from the boys.

Great post @Lauren

How have you been? Hope all is well.
Obviously just trying to lighten the mood a little ?

Unfortunately we are too far out of the new season to predict anything - there's all sorts of things that can happen - plus we have no idea what will ensue from the review.
I assume Sheens will be heading home soon. So surely this will also likely have some further impact on our recruitment and assistant coaches and stuff.
Though it's hard, I'm hopeful we make a couple of great signings during the off-season. It hasn't been kind to us during the years (Matterson and Aloiai etc) but we've somehow always managed to charge ahead.

Thanks for caring and asking @lauren
Very much appreciated :+1:
Keep up the good work with your posts...definitely worth reading.

25 weeks of consistent effort, regardless of result.

Is that too much to ask for?

"the sleeping giant is awakening"...I like the sound of that @FinestTigers
