Whats doing with inglis?

Melbourne Storm star Greg Inglis has been ordered to attend a men's behavioural program after pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend Sally Robinson.

Inglis pleaded guilty to assault in Sunshine Magistrates' Court today, while a charge of recklessly causing injury was dropped.

Inglis, 23, was ordered to attend a behavioural amendment group and pay $3000 to Women's Health west.

He has since reconciled with girlfriend Ms Robinson, who appeared with Inglis in court today.

Robinson went to police last August after the incident at their home in Melbourne's west.

Inglis's barrister, Robert Richter QC, told Magistrate Lionel Winton-Smith that Inglis had never hurt her before.

He said he had pushed her out of agitation after she "got in his face".

Mr Winton-Smith said he would not usually recommend a diversion program, but there were special circumstances in this case and Ms Robinson did not want charges brought in the first place.

He said he was satisfied Inglis was very remorseful about the incident and found that he was a suitable candidate for a diversion program.

Acting Melbourne Storm CEO Matt Hanson said the club understood why Inglis had accepted the diversion order.

"Out of respect for the privacy of the individuals concerned the club will not be commenting any further on this matter," Hanson said.

"The club will, however, continue to offer counseling to the individuals involved.

"This has obviously been an extremely difficult period for both Greg and Sally and we now ask for their right to privacy to be respected as they again deal with an intensely private matter."

Simple fact of the matter is he is just a lazy trainer and Bellamy just puts up with it because otherwise he would go elsewhere and get away with it under a coach like Hejack or Elliott

Even at playing to 50% of his potential, he'll win you games. Plus, when the big games come, he'll lift. I can't think of a better big name player in the game today. Locky was probably better in his glory days though.

No doubting he is a superb big game player but honestly for the money he commands you want someone who excels in the 26 week comp and steps up that gear for the big games.

I have no doubt as soon as the Anzac test rolls around he will have dropped some weight, be able to shave of the beard hiding the wobbly chin and start putting in. Not a franchise player by any means though

If Bellamy puts up with it, isnt he getting away with it there?
Why the need to go to Bris or penrith?
Are u OK smeg?

No I am saying by Bellamy putting up with it he gets away with it in Melbourne.

I believe any coach is caught in the position with Inglis that if you make him work harder he would walk into another club with coaches who historically have a crappy discipline regime in a heartbeat.

That my opinion
