Was wondering what people are thinking OUTSIDE the forum about 2014\. Are people discussing brooks and sironen or lamenting about our performance in 2013? expectations; top4 or wooden spoon? enlighten us!

did you post this in the wrong thread? i have no idea what the means….

Watch the movie "The Castle " You'll understand then

"Its the vibe of the thing" He was comparing his house being taken off him to the Mabo case

Sorry it just reminded me of something that Daryl would say

yea i've seen it. i see what you mean haha. only got the 'tell him his dreaming line' rest went over my head

Sorry to hijack your thread , now to get it started

The people I speak to that are Tigers supporters are probably concerned about injuries and the post Benji effect Many are excited about Brooks and co

People who aren't Tigers supporters don't rate us in 2014 and see us battling for the wooden spoon with Parra in 2014

Got a really good mate who isn't on this forum, but is a big WT supporter, played footy all his life and coached park footy too.

To be honest he feels much like everyone else here, wants improvement across the park especially defence/effort/consistency. He can see the generational change coming through and likes it.

Been having a look at one of the threads on the Front Row Forum about 2014 ladder predictions. Most people seem to think we'll be somewhere between 12th and 15th by the looks of things, although I've only read the first page.

At the start of 2005 WT were hardly rated yet finished up winning the premiership. At the start of a recent year WT were rated premiership favorites yet did not even make the semi finals. In my opinion 2014 will be a foundation year but a top 8 spot is not impossible.

Haha !
Must watch that again soon ….. Should say that to Mayer next time he's talking top 8 !

Im excited about seeing a post benji team and how it operates. Our new signings do nothing for me at all, in fact I think they're a little disappointing, but who knows! surprise me.
If woods and galloway can stay on the park (which won't happen) and tedesco and our halves go well we might finish 9th to 12th.

Ill put it this way, if we finish 10th or higher ill eat my undies.

I've heard a mixed bag, from my friends that support other clubs, they think we are no chance, so much so that they are all offering me juicy odds for who will finish higher.

But on the other hand, some experts are quite optimistic, I have heard people such as Paul Kent and the mole(I know not really an expert).
State that they think we have great juniors coming through and will be pushing for he 8 next year.

IMO we could go either way, we will have a new halves combo, a new direction and game plan as a team, this could be great as seen in des first year at the dogs, or could take some time to stick, only time will tell.

One thing i guarantee is that out errors will be down, as much as I loved benji, he was contributing much to those figures last year.

I think most people from outside the club would be looking at our 2013 season combined with the players we lost and the players we gained and would be thinking SPOON or their about.

It will be a interesting season like others its hard not to be encouraged by the crop of young kids coming through the ranks, but taking my tigers hat off I see a long hard year with plenty of turmoil. We have to get off to a good start because this team will have a mid season or late season slump,it comes with having a young inexperienced roster.

It's hard to have a real good idea of how next season will go as we have a rookie halfback and are coming off a very indifferent 2013\. After last season and with the personnel change, I think if we make the finals it will be a successful season.

We won't win the comp, of that I am certain. I do think though that if we get a better run with injuries, we'll finish higher than this year. How high? I don't know, maybe 10th. We have some good young talent coming through, but consistency on a weekly basis will be the key. If we can improve our defence across the park and key players stay fit and healthy, then 10th is realistic IMO. I do think our forward pack will be a little larger and stronger but keeping the halves stable will be vital.

agreed, we always exceed expectations. whether for good or for bad.

our expectations are 13-15th so i think we will come in 7th-10th.

it all depends on our 1, 7, 9 combo, new recruits and how well our coaching plans work for the squad.

The season hangs on two areas in my opinion:-

1\. Will the forwards command more respect from the opposition forwards in attack?

2\. Will our defence across the field start sitting the opposition on their back-sides?

If these areas improve, we will finish higher than I expect.

I feel the vibe is good.

All we need is go forward and better defensively … big ask i know but we have an amazing bunch of youth coming through,

I've been putting $5 a week on us to win the comp. Delusional i know but I was on at 67-1 in 2005 and some people got as high as 150-1 from memory.

The way i see it we have much more depth and two back up coaches if Potter's strategy doesnt work.

Finally the team is better off without Benji based on his form last year.

i usually pick 3 teams at the start of the season that are less likely to win, one is always the tigers haha and put $5 on them. picked Sharks and Rabbits for 2013\. Might go for panthers and rabbits again.

Haha nice,

I know this gets said every year, but I'm a fan of the warriors squad next year, bringing over bukuya and tomkins. I think they are looking very strong.

Consistency has always been there problem, along with ours.
