What's Up Vossy

So you would condone us doing the same thing tomorrow night to negate Stewarts impact?

yes i would, its not in the spirit of the game, thats why in union they have the rule that it goes back to where you kicked it from, they dont have many rules right but thats one they do have.

for nrl purposes any kick thats from inside the attacking half that goes dead in goal should be a tap from where its kicked unless its kicked from inside the 20 then its just a regular 20m restart

Again …what if the kick from the 49 metre line rolls dead by 1 cm....the defending team gets a tap on the half way line......

yes thats exactly right these kickers can put it on a string for their wingers to catch cross kicks, if they cant keep it in play within 58 meters of grass or 55 meters in melbourne then they should be penalised.

i for one would support this rule, i think it would be a good one

Dunno it's a tough one. I would agree that it's not in the spirit but to be honest if we did it against the teams with real killer FB and we win the game I would be hard pressed not to celebrate the win.

Funny hting is that this morning Gus gould was saying that he didn't think that Bennet was a coach who would advise his teams to employ these types of tactics but in one of the match reports Justin Poore said that yes it was a definate tactic.

They could change the rule and say if you kick it dead from ur own half its a 40m tap and if u kick it dead in the opposition's half then its a standard 20m tap.

I would actually like the in goals to be bigger, I know that wont happen but it would really challenge the fullbacks and wingers more, and I dont think we would see as many balls just trickle over the dead ball line.

How do you know if it's delibrate or not…?

A couple pulled up and the Eels were trapped in the in Goal....Grothe/ Hayne dummy spit for 1...

If the ball trickles dead it's OK....if it goes out at a rate of knotts it's deliberate....

More whining from the Hayne is God brigade.....

Spirit of the game pfffft....Winning is more important....

I agree, it's complete nonsense. I think the Dragons kicked it dead 4 times in 80 minutes. If you hit Hayne on the chest with your kicks he'll cut you up. Why not tell him exactly where you're kicking it to as well, so he can get there to take it on the run. Heck, why not even form a tunnell for him to run through to score the try. They could even put the ball on the tee for the kicker and make it even easier for them. The Dragons were trying to beat the Eels, and to do that you have to shut down Hayne, which they did.

Soward reckons it wasn't on purpose and that Creagh gave plenty to him about it. I think it was on purpose but I don't blame him for doing it. We did the same thing a few times last year, not out on the full but dead definately on purpose.

I think it should only go back to where the kicker kicked it from if it goes dead on the full. You can't make the ingoal area more than 10 meters because it would be too easy for the kickers to keep forcing drop outs.

In union if it goes dead, it goes back to where the kicker kicked it from even if it's not out on the full. Their in-goal area is alot bigger though.

I sent a light hearted email to the Sunday Roast a couple of days ago saying this:

Could you please show some of the highlights (Or low lights) of the boys (Especially MG) commentating on that Friday night footy game between Canberra and Penrith where Vossy came down with food poisoning and had to leave in the 2nd half?
>
And also I found a couple of vids on youtube called "Thats Gould" that I reckon you should show:
