When is the team named

I'll reserve judgement and criticism of Coach Smith's team selection. Myles at Lock is no suprise. The same way Sheens plays Payten, Heighnington at lock. The # 13 jersey has no real significance in the modern day game. It just allows a Coach to play an extra prop in the pack.

Carney at Fullback could be a stroke of pure genius. Carney threatened all day vs. Wests a few weeks back and was even more deadly against Parramatta a week later. Smith outlined his credentials and how he could easily adapt to the custodian role at the back. The jury is still out as Smith has admitted himself on whether or not Carney will be a success there, but all signs look positive.

I expect to see the Roosters to put in a good showing against the much hyped and publicised South Sydney outfit who are expected to steam roll their way to the finals. Yes, forwards win big games, but you've got to have an equal pair of halves and a soiid backline that have got to be able to capitalise upon the go forward. And to be frank, their halves and backs are by no means world beaters.

Roosters to win, Smith to prove the naysayers wrong.

The Chooks biggest hinderance returns to the 6 jersey this week.

Sorry but Anasta has a good kicking game but is a very restricitive 5/8

i mean you look at their team and you think, yeah solid outfit, they'll be competitive and put in a good showing every week, then you scroll back up to take a closer look and see the name 'McDonnell'…....

Suddenly, after wiping the vomit away from your mouth, you end up doing a full re-assessment and evaluation of their chances!

Sheens wouldn't update the website or send out media releases

At the latest the players are informed after the session on Tuesday morning so it's not like the team is still being decided upon

Ahhh the footy season truly is upon us. I remember in seasons gone by checking the WT website before leaving work at 5, no team list. Then thinking about it for most of the drive home, getting home a 6.15 and checking the website expecting the team sheet to be there waiting for me…. but still no team.
