No one is disputing that - but as other posters have said he does have a few errors in him that ultimately are rather costly. I think he lacks that self confidence that top notch FB have. The botched try and the 40/20 were just a lack of confidence in his ability. If he gets the errors out of his game and backs his ability a bit more he will be a good no.1.

I have to agree DP,Corey is a good player learning a specialist role at NRL level,he will take time to become a Ponga or Tedesco type, although they are freaks in their positions..
 
He's a really good winger, and when he is asked to play FB he is great in some respects and ordinary in others.

Corey bombed one try and murdered a late overlap with bad passing. Now that first try was set up by Corey in the first place, so less finger pointing.

But ultimately he lacks a passing or tackle-breaking capacity which inhibits his all-around FB game.
