Where's our centers!!!

Not a fan of Lawrences work in either of our two games

His rush in defence is becoming almost to Eric Grothe Jnr levels of bad. The entire left side defence is atrocious actually. He and Blair do not work well together at all, there is no communication. Marshall seems to want to get out as wide as possible in the defensive line regardless of the consequence.

I watched last weeks game again this morning. The try that Carney scored came down to Lawrences rush in the previous tackle. We had the troops to cover in slide but he went for the spectacular and next play the back rower has to slide to centre leaving Keith exposed when the markers do nothing.

Its a bad tactic except in emergencies

Right side defence works alot better and with Gareth injured I would like to see Blair defend on the right

Very correct Smeg in your call on Carney's try

I don't have an issue if you do rush up but you have to make the tackle and win the wrestle or it leaves the defensive line in tatters

Further on to Smeghead's comments I noticed Lawrence missed the tackle on DCE who went on to score.

Lawrence is a beautiful one on one tackler and goes in low. The problem is he is out of the defensive line for the next paly especially with a quick play the ball.

Lawrence should change his technique so he is available at marker not rolling away from the ruck.

I agree Lawrence and Blair seem to lack communication in defence.

When Humble came into the front line I though our centres got more quality ball.

If anyone noticed in the sheds at halftime against the Sharks, Lawrence had his jersey off and his left shoulder was heavily strapped. The shoulder injury he picked up last year is still obviously a problem. As for him looking a bit down on pace, well I don't know what to make of that unless it's a result of his hip injury which I hope isn't the case.

Yeah i noticed a slight loss in pace

Has he bulked up too much and is sacraficing a touch of speed

Lawrence is a class player and needs game time to get back to his best.

Hopefully will captain WT in the future.

He looked ok running in the Four Nations - there must be something else holding him back.
Just doesn't seem to be timing things right in attack or defence.

Lawrence touched the ball 11 times on Friday night - over 50% of which I remember either being a dummy half run or a hit-up.

This is not on, he needs to touch in twice as much, especially in space, with room to move. Inglis is rendered almost useless unless he gets 10 metres to wind up, jink and fend. Lawrence is much the same.
