So there is no difference between the moderators and Saddam Hussein and most communist regimes in the world. If there is anything said that gies against the government, or in this case, club, you'll be silenced!

Well done mods. By the way, you know that you dont actually work for the club. Does this make you feel that you're a part of it?
 
I don't think the mods have weapons of mass destruction- there's one difference!

someone just deleted 2 threads that I opened. Yes they were criticial of Humphreys, sheens and the club but so what? No swearing, nothing personal..just critical. Overly critical but deserved.

Since when cant we say what we think in Australia?

Have not seen the threads personaly so can't help you on that one.

One of the other mods or admin might be able to help though
 
Too bad, because the missing threads had a lot of great suggestions and well thought out ideas in it.

not on mod review at all. nothing i said would even justify that….actually nothing i wrote would justify deleting any of my threads .... i think someone is hiding behind a PC because we havent even heard why.

Since when does a thread just dissappear without explanation?

What kind of forum is this?

Are we FORCED into writing positive things?

Saw the posts myself and commented, not sure who deleted the whole thing though.

However, there was a possibility that all the thread was going to achieve was a slanging match, which was probably why it was completely deleted.

Tigerdave, glad you said you saw the posts and commented. I'm sure you would agree that there wasnt anything in there that would justify deleting them. What makes it worse is that there was no explanation. Its almost as if, someone didnt agree and thought, "we cant be saying this about the club".

Slanging matches are simply debates. Debate are good to force improvement. Isnt that the whole point of forum? To debate and get your point of view across?

Its being looked into Black and Gold so we will leave it there for now.

If posts are deleted and you wish to have it explained then thats fair enough. Best be done via PM though in my opinion, so ill lock this thread on that basis.

Hmmm I don't agree that slanging matches are debates at all, because it moves from the initial argument to a simple point scoring match which largely involves who can insult the other person better.

Debates are a good force for improvement, but I don't see how a debate here could really improve anything substantial for the club.

The point of the forum is to discuss the Tigers and League in general, it is also a good place to vent a bit, but it has to be done within some boundaries. Those boundaries would include posts/threads that could potentially break those boundaries (swearing, name calling, general abuse etc). Not knowing the exact reasoning behind the deletion, all I could offer is that maybe it was a preemptive deletion to avoid a storm later. Maybe?
