Who did the sprint coach work with ??

Is it just me or does our backline seems slower this year , but our forwards are far quicker this year

All this talk about the sprint coach working with all our backs , mate I hope we didn't pay him big bucks for it

Teddy is quicker , but that was always going to be the case with his knee improving as well as his leg issues healing

Nofoluma must still have hammy or knee problems a couple of times watching him turn and chase for kicks and he seemed to be struggling

Simona not the same , he used to be electric and now he seems solar powered

Lawrence hasn't gone anywhere really ,he's playing better but I wouldn't say quicker

Forwards

Sue is definitely quicker

Ava is far more mobile this season

Blair even has put on weight and is quicker

Thompson hasn't improved speed wise , but his engine is massive these days

Look speed wise , where do you rate the Tigers backline ?? I'd personally rate us bottom four in the NRL

I was thinking the same thing. Our backline is very slow. Not surprising given we bought a winger north of 30 in the offseason.

Without Teddy its a real problem. Brooks seems the only one capable of exploiting a break.

Richards has been a great buy but I thought he would be a poor buy because he keeps Korobiete out of the side. I think we need Koro out there because he is lightning quick. Simona needs more space as well. I think he can make a bust and finish it.

We do look pedestrian out there. Wish Koro could tackle because he can certainly score a try and we need some speed out there.

I'll happily trade the speed of Koro for the points of Pat. Koros points for would almost cancel themselves out in those he let in I reckon.

Besides Korobeite, there are a couple of quite speedy backs available in our State Cup side, Taukafa and Corey Brown. If any or all of them need to improve their tackling to n acceptable first grade level I am sure that they will improve as they play more State Cup.

Can turn around very quickly.

Simona gets put in a bit of space, Tedesco returns and then you've got a very fast backline considering Brooks and Nofo. I admit nofoaluma is looking quite slow this year, but he was never as fast as Simona or Koro last year.

I was just thinking apart from Richards when was the last time you saw a back make a good break ? Seems like an eternity to me.

Koro has been run down many times this year. He's no quicker than Simona.

Simona and Nofo have both been very quiet.

However please don't forget Braith patrols that right side a lot. Explains why they get no quality ball and no space to work in.

Not true at all, only been run down changing angles or before he gets in full flight mate. Simona is fast, but Koro is much faster.

Spot on. Until Potter lets Brooks play both sides or gets a better 5/8, we will continue to see everything go down the left away from Simona

I have seen him run down and had 2 people mention to me that he looks slower this year. Dont get me wrong, he is still fast, but he isnt anywhere near what people think.

I think the sooner we move Simona to the left side the better. Thats where he played his best football last season. I think Lawrence could move to the right and still play as well as he has been playing this season. Simona has a very good right hand fend.

100%

Simona and Nofo have been quiet of late. They haven't been sick, have they? They seemed to have lost their speed. We are just not breaking lines, we look like we are in a form slump without Farah. Hope we are not a one man team.
