Who do we need to bring in to change our culture?

We Must change from the top .Its simple what needs to happen but those at the top don't want change as its either their livelihood and or power turn on
To me majority control must be stripped from Ashfield and maybe with fresh finance
Build a footy club called Wests Tigers from top to bottom .
Those at the top must realise that the club as exists is in a kind of death spiral
That is We can't recruit because of poor results and lack of recruits leads to even worse poor results which makes recruiting even harder .
Eg I now hear maybe the Fainu Bros might go to Dolphins .
Has Fulton recruited even one NRL class player yet ?
If it keeps spiralling down my fear is the NRL will eventually pull the plug so the current board won't have a footy team in the nrl anyway
That is my fear

I’d like to suggest someone with a proven track record like Shane Richardson but mentoring Robbie Farah to be the eventual CEO or Chairman. Get better people around them. I believe Farah has the attitude and fight in him to stand up for the club.
It's such a different skill set. I would worry. Robbie has very good "small Business smarts" he also knows enough League to be kinda dangerous.

Were just too Inbred. I would be up for it but I would want a swap with Penrith, Easts or someone to get Robbie that broader experience.

Have to disagree on this one. I can envision a future where Farah is Benny Elias 2.0....

Sheens was the man to build on pathways and football operations. He’s now a coach. The CEO is a very good operator from a membership/sponsorship and corporate perspective with limited rugby league credentials. The chairman is a sharp legal mind and business man who’s a super fan. We are run by a highly successful leagues club board with a few exceptions.

Appoint Shane Richardson, move Sheens as head of Football and start Benji next year with a senior assistant like John Morris. Lack of RL IQ looks like the obvious issue.

Would be a smart move. Not sure that Shane is or would make himself available though, he is heading up the Brisbane Tigers NRL expansion bid.

Why would someone who has proven themself like Johnny Morris want to be second fiddle to a greenhorn like Benji?

Whatever is on the cards within our club, the Sheens' signing, Fulton on board as a new recruitment face, Benji locked in for future direction, and all the pathways improvements - all these are just that: steps in recovery in acknowledgement of the futile years lost.
It's sure a long way back, but this has to happen.
But success is also wanted now.
Patience has been exhausted.
Hard to keep everyone happy.
And all being done under the eyes of a critical media and public.
The only way back, the only measure of success will be winning.
That's all - plain and simple.
And here's the hard part for locked-in fans: (and no intentional connection to the chairman but) keep the faith in the process that has commenced.
We'll get through this.
There's too many good men in the club to not get us out of here.

Does he really have smarts ? Personally I think we need to be really tough in making decisions like bringing in a CEO and bringing in a player with a history of dramatics at the club with no experience in the role doesn't sound professional at all.

Good post. The problem is that any long term fan must be at least a little cynical of any changes until we get wins on the board.

Would be nice to hear the brass at WT have this sort of philosophy/mentality.
Alas, winning is never a priority at WT.
I assume the target gets fast tracked & made more immediate in a sport where you can buy your success with no salary cap & get players from pretty much anywhere in the world.

I don't remember anyone high-fiving each other when Sheens talked about still believing in getting into the finals 2 weeks ago.

Keeps reminding us his job is to prepare a team to be competitive for his successor in 2025.
I know which two of his assertions I believe to be his real focus.
