Who replaces Grant and MCK against the Sharks?

From all reports, JJ Felise hasnt been putting in down in NSW Cup. If he does get a call-up, he needs to do his work like a tradesman within the NRL arena to justify his selection.

Personally, he is more the Aaron Woods style player who will grind out big numbers with a little footwork at the line. Hope he gets his opportunity!

Hopefully Idris is fit. As for Grant, I find it hilarious that the media would try to paint us in a negative light by saying after everything that's happened, now Grant is considering his options.

Why is it hilarious?

Arguing that the club's actions are causing an average prop at best to consider his options and that he might be the next player to walk, like he holds any kind value. How is it not.

After the recent upheavals, he may be wondering whether he wants to stay here, he may have been an offer to stay or he may have been offered a spot somewhere else. Only him and the other party would know that, I agree that he's not a priority here( at least I would think that) but if he has options he is entitled to think about where he goes..
Can't say I'd be sorry if it wasn't here .

He's entitled to do what he wants. My point is the media drumming it up like him leaving would be another devastating blow. Please.

Hunt in for MCK
Felise in for Grant - and to stay that way. He should have been replacing Grant even if he didn't get injured.

I didn't notice MCK got injured, that's a shame. I thought he played great in the centres and could possibly hold onto his spot even when Idris came back. Forcing Naiqama out.

I would have Kev in the back 5 over MCK. MCK is a great back-rower and I would like to see him develop there over the season. If MCK was to play in the back 5 it would have to be in the centres pushing Suli to the wing. Suli is a much better centre than wing, and MCK is a much better back-rower than centre. I thought Kev went alright yesterday.

Not sure how on earth people are suggesting Hunt, Heleta, Jacobs to come in for MCK. He's playing centre, and would be replaced by a centre. If Cleary thought Kevvy was any good at centre he'd still be there. Won't disrupt the whole backline again so it will be most likely Esan that get's called up.

Both Tatola and Felise have been in the extended squad a number of times this season. Felise seems to be working hard but having issues with his ball control. Tatola less ethic but more impact.

I thought the only bad forward we had was Edwards, he missed a lot of tackles and don't think he had many hit ups, hes a waste of space.

He missed two tackles and made 31, in something like 25 mins.

I can live with my edge forwards missing 2 tackles (from 33) a game.

Anyone leaving here is news at the moment, but I can see your point

Yeah, looked to me like he was there exactly to defend, leaving the runs to someone else. If that's the case it was a good call by the coach.

Jacobs is a centre, playing on the wing in ISP but I believe he played centre in the 20s and also some centre in ISP last year and looked good.

Names like Hunt and Milone are popping up in this thread, this concerns me. I'd run Lovett in the centres again before I'd ever let Wrong Way Justin into first grade.

Reckon Milne is a big chance to be at the club for the next game against the Sharks.

He and Suli would give us a terrific partnership with both speed and power.

MCK to the bench or reserves.

If MCK is out and Idris not fit I'd expect Kev pushes back to centre and Rankin or Heleta will come into wing. Not what I'd hope to see but I think that's what would happen.

If Grant is out I'm excited to see Felise or Tatola get a run

If Marsters and Milone are deemed better centre options than Jacobs at nsw cup level you'd have to think Marsters would be ahead of him at NRL level too, especially seeing he is far more likely to have a senior contract than Jacobs is.

I actually thought that was one of Edwards better games….looks like a lot of players are improving under Ivans coaching...

I've found the ideal like-for-like replacement for Grant. Hopefully we have enough cap room.

I think that's harsh in the extreme. Tim puts in every week. He runs with more effort and purpose than Woods FFS on many an occasion. Maybe not the most skilful dude in the club, but he doesn't deserve a bagging like that post.

Watch the ruck defence when Grant comes on, then ask yourself if you think it's a coincidence that we tend to ship points at the back end of first halves. I've no idea how hard Grant is trying and TBH I don't care: I can see the results.
