Why are the mods so uptight and deprived of a sense of humor

ron, I can tell you we are letting a lot of stuff go on this forum that we didn't let go on the old forum. We want this forum to be enjoyable for all members, and please remember that we have a wide demographic who post on here and sometimes other people will find posts/remarks offensive. A bit of cultural sensitivity wouldn't go astray at times.

mate thats fine but saying i "hooked up" on the weekend surely cant be offensive…seriously.

 Another woe is me thread Ron?

Thats just super

its just a discussion, im not the only one who feels this way and as the voice of the "common person" on this forum ive been enlisted by them to voice their concerns on this issue, there is too much black and white on here, there is no grey area unless you are a moderator

Ron I love your self-imposed title as the voice of the "common people" - are they the voices inside your head?

Just joking champ, I couldnt resist. I generally enjoy your contributions but think you take things too far at times. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

I kid you not ron. Please be mindful not everyone that posts on here is as open and liberal as yourself.

ok willow, ill keep my disgusting habits to my self.

and ST i am the voice for the common people, the honor was bestowed upon me in a private gathering of us outkasts several weeks back, and when an issue is brought to my attention i voice it for them, my PM inbox is in overload at them moment and not from "board warnings"

bwahahaha

another **"me! me! me! me! me! me! me!"** thread by Ron

lol

c'mon bro, just get over it and have some fun.
At the same time respect the fact that we do have wide demographic here. Whilst 75% might be super sweet with what you said, 25% would find it very inappropriate. We have to cater to that.
In fact the survey conducted at the end of last year raised this very issue with a lot of people being turned off this place by these kind of posts.

At the end of the day it is a Wests Tigers forum.
I don't want to be rude, but if you (i mean that generally) want to post about such topics then try and find a better forum for it.

It s a tough job Ron and I think they do pretty well in the circumstances. Nobody wants to read the petty fighting others - something of which I am as guilty as anyone I guess and the moderators rightly should step in.

ok so is this offensive

"i hooked up with a chick at the junction hotel in newy on the weekend she was choice aye" apparently it is offensive in some way, id like to know what way this is deemed offensive?

What's her number?

Gee….whats happening?
I'm finding myself siding with Ron here.

Bloody hell...if 25% of the people on here find "I hooked up...." offensive, you really gotta wonder why their on the internet at all in the first place...with all the nasties you find on here.

People that follow the greatest game, arent that soft.

I was being pretty general ink
and the survey didn't ask about that question either

You can't do anything these days without offending someone. I had to listen to some idiot the other day saying he finds pork offensive.

Was this "idiot" offended by the concept of pork?

Perhaps some deep seated religious convictions???

Geo..seriously…...I think most teens talk a lot worse than what Ron posted...

Depends how you bring em up I guess….

Innk defending Burgandy.......now that is funny.....

Besides is it right to say up yours to the person who reported the post.....because it doesn't offend most it's OK

I went to a chinese restraunt and this scumbag was complaining to the people who worked there and to me because I was eating bbq pork in plum sauce. He was telling them they shouldn't sell pork because he and others find it offensive. He did say it was against his religion. For some reason he thought I cared what religion he was. He was making a big deal about it and all I wanted to do was eat my meal in peace. The scumbag is lucky he left when he did because I was about to throw some of the pork in his face.

I'm divided on this, part of me says whover set the forum up can make the rules, if u don't like it thenset your own up.

However the other part says it's an unofficial forum, not associated with anything…so who cares! Let everyone post what they want! Who are the mods to say what's offensive and what's not? We're in a free country and persoanlly it offends me that someone is offended by reading 'i hooked up with someone' i mean c'mon, seriously!

Sometimes I think people make rules up for the sake of having rules
