That first half defensively was diabolical. Goal kicking in the end , was the difference . But really half those tries were disgusting .

I’m all for players having to earn their way into nrl but most of the NRL so called top team shouldn’t be playing nrl anyway.

The veteran players have been terrible this year.

Lets blood some kids. It won’t make a difference on the ladder if we didn’t so why not.

Rebuilding means blooding YOUNG PROMISING players. For us, for too long, it has been diabolical signings at astronomic contracts with aging players...Luke at Mbye, now that he is on the market, he is playing out of skin (as diabolical as it is!!). Give me 13 players that give 100% every game and I'll be supporting them every day of the year.

In case you missed it, the 5/8 does not give them the ball. He did play well but loves cut out passes. Time to put JTJ on the wing or drop him.

looking at how many older guys we dumped i thought for sure that the direction we were heading
but than we signed roberts and traded alolai for joe and i relized its not a rebuild at all

I honestly think that league is the one game where REAL TALENT is spotted at a very early age. Others SHOW PROMISE but largely remain "solid" players during their career - won't lose or win you a match. I can think of numerous promising WT juniors that over the years, never developed into more than average footballers. Some are even there now (sigh!!)

Our cap isn't a problem and therefore we don't need a rebuild. We just need to manage our recruitment and retention well each year and look to improve.

We shouldn't be doing anything drastic like making a non-marquee player a marquee player.
