Why is There Only 1 Game on?

I am very disappointed that we only get to see one game when attending matches over the last few weeks. I enjoy watching the lower grades play, with players pushing for promotion. Reducing the day to one match takes away from the value for members and non-members. Does anyone else feel the same way? Why would the NRL be doing this?

I’ve been banging on about this for ages and have written many posts about it.

This coming week ISP are playing at lidcombe so no game beforehand at ANZ on Sunday.

Maybe we’ll be forced to watch touch footy as the NRL try to ram that crap down our throats.

I’d say the main reason is that the NRL have taken away all standard lower teir competitions and The clubs and nswrl haven’t been working together to make this happen m.

I would prefer all bench to have played reserve grade. It annoys me that most country clubs will carry a fresh bench especially the richer clubs while others clubs struggle for numbers

There was another thread and even a petition about this but yes…. It's stupid as can be.

The three games in one day was epic.
Use to love following the 20s and State cup... They canned the 20s which sucks but at least they're televising more ISC.

Why, because the NRL management are as usual incompetent.

They don't control ISP - well they need to make an arrangement with those that do.

This rorting of supporters - we'll take an exorbitant about of money of the pubic and give them one lousy game and a 20 minute warm up is not on.

Would you expect Beattie and Greenberg to do anything?

It IS a good idea and wouldnt be difficult to implement…it would be better than nothing

It IS a good idea and wouldnt be difficult to implement…it would be better than nothing

100 % agree , up here the juniors used to get to play on the Seniors main oval

They have seemed to canned it , thought they were worried about keeping it fresh for the NRL game, which I totally understand , but nada since

Even have a few Arrive Alive Cup games , pick the local school , get the local talent viewed by the fans

Again this week one game only …what is happening this is not the NFL that have tail gate party’s before games etc . Surely there could be the ISP before hand ...The NRL have turned the game into purely a TV. Sport .

Sadly the only answer is to talk with our feet - don’t go when there’s only one match. But then we lose as well. So I don’t know the answer.
One thing for sure though - like everything else, the NRL will only react when it becomes an enormous embarrassment.
