Why we can but won't beat the roosters

with the team we have we could run rings around them
but that's just me
i just don't think we are up for 80 mins - i think that's asking for too much.
But I really want us to win just like you guys - Don't get me wrong. It keeps the world turning for myself.

They always tear down the middle and score down the edges. We can't or haven't matched them in the forwards for years.

I reckon a lot of it comes down to who they choose at 6 , whether it's Hastings or Matterson

Their forwards have generally proven unstoppable for us. Right from the get go they have just hit us with straight hard running up the middle and we just never seem to be able to contain them. Once they draw us in around the middle, they can then exploit us out wide later on.

Hoping we can reverse the trend but we need to start with plenty of energy, get numbers in the tackles and slow them down.

2011 Brisbane had their SOO heroes out and Rowdy scored in 1st minute

Then it took a measured chip bomb by Robbie to Mitch Brown to score with 90 seconds left

Just to think , if I had of gone , I'd have been at 4 of our 5 wins v Brisbane ,2003 ,2006,2011 and 2016

Only win I would have missed was 2005 semi final win v Brisbane

I picked a win last week one of the only ones on this forum,this week will be ugly unfortunately it will have nothing to do mental approach ,this IS the Roosters grand final there at full strength and had 2 weeks off .I despise the Roosters and knocking them out of the comp would be grand but there sheer talent will see them win and win easily..they could miss fire but I doubt it.
