Another option that will work...but needs a sim with plenty of data on it

Hey mate.
Have you thought about those little mobile hotspot modems? They just need a PowerPoint. I think about $70 from officeworks and you can add as much data as you like to them, when you want. Your missus can just use this everytime she's in the gym and save the data.

Is that like one of these?
This one's Vodafone

This sounds like the best option for your setup Ink. A wireless range extender located in your garage (close to the door) is an option but since you're not getting a signal from your router as per your pic above, this likely would be very unreliable/slow if it even worked at all.

Some routers, especially the newer ones these days are really quite good in terms of Wifi quality and range, however they can be expensive (I'm not sure what router you're using currently). But with a newer one it might be enough to receive a decent signal in your garage.

Yeah mate, that's the one.
I converted my shed to a gym about 2 years ago. It is about 30 metres from the house. I have plenty of data on my phone so I use that when I go but my wife doesn't get a very good signal from her phone. I got one of these and she just uses this. Costs me about 20 every 2 months in data, just prepay it. Never have a problem with signal.
I tried all types of extenders and they never worked, probably due to me.

I had similar issues and picked up a set of these to try out a mesh system - https://www.amazon.com.au/TENDA-NOVA-MW3-3-Pack-Coverage/dp/B07D9CC637/

They've been running solid since July without a dropout and were dead easy to set up. Can't see what the other sets at 3 or 4 times the price could do better to justify the price tbh
