On the bench. Do you think he's cemented for the long term?

Yep, Sheens said in an interview that he is waiting for Ben to grow into his body. Once he does that, he will have size and pace and then I think we will see him starting.

He's already got size and pace, I think it's more case of BMM coping with the week-in week-out stuff and improving his match fitness as his body adjusts over the next season or so.

Young Siro showed plenty today playing for BRET in only his second game back from a shoulder job…. physically he was close to the biggest player on the field and was a real handful for the sharks. He could handle NRL right now and if Lawrence gets picked maybe a smokey for the no6 role against the warriors

2 Joel Jackson, 11 Simon Dwyer,

Couple of very sad injury stories there. Joel Jackson could have been a great player until he got injured. The photo of that injury still makes me squirm, one of the most horrific things I have ever seen.

Was at the game against Titans . Sironen was subline , so strong , has a good pass and knows how to pop a ball Sironen is First Grade material , hes a unit as well. Koroibete had a strong game i notice he sometime comes in to centre when we are on the attack , i'd have him anyday over Tuquiri has to be given a go or we run the risk of another club signing him. Also our lock forward was superb didn't get his name though , caught the ball from the restart of play after we scored a try, on the 10 metre line runs the ball breaks 2 tackles runs 60 metres before passing the ball to the winger and sets him up for a try . These 3 were stand outs for me…

The lock is Brendan Santi, definitely one to watch.

Santi should have heighingtons spot by the end of next year

Korobeite is undoubtedly a talent however in every game I've seen this year nofoaluma has been the best back on the field

He is averaging twice as many tackle breaks than the next best in the side.

Different in NRL though.

Would love to see David trialled in State Cup to see if he is as hard to contain

They were questions about his attitude at the start of the year when he gave up the chance to train with the 1st graders. Anyone know how he is travelling in this regard (i.e attitude wise)

If not rolling up to a recovery session after a recent game is any indication, his attitude still needs a lot of work!

So what do you do with a young bloke who has so much potential and playing so well yet has an attitude issue away from game day?
Does he deserve an NRL debut? Maybe the NRL would whip him into line? To me, I think a player needs to earn his NRL debut in all aspects of the game on and off the field!
What does everyone else think?

I agree 100% with your last sentence. I think regardless of the amount of talent a player has (and Nofoaluma has plenty of talent and potential), they need to be professional at all times and follow club procedure at all times. Recovery sessions are held for a reason, and if you have players skipping them…well it does not set a good example.

Handling first grade on a weekly basis involves doing all the little things right and preparing well mentally and physically. If Nofoaluma thinks attending recovery sessions are a joke, or beneath him, or cannot provide good reason as to not turning up, well I hate to say it, but the club probably won't be too interested in paying a bloke who only shows up when he feels like it.

I reckon this side has alot of players who will play NRL, hopefully with us.

The ones who will make NRL in the next few years
Marika Korobeite
Noafluma (hopefully he learns the stuff between games is just as important to being successful)
Siro
Miller
Santi
Lovett

assuming Vela returns well from his injury throw him in as well.

What happens off the field is probably more important than what happens on it Thats where you build your character Without character you'll go missing when it counts most

Personally The player I like most is the guy who plays his best footy in a losing team Anyone can play well in a winning team

Absolutely Happy Tiger!
I've always believed, as a coach and a player, that a game is never over till that final whistle sounds and what can happen in the first half can always happen in the second half and even if only one or two players can believe they can turn the tables and get up and win, anything is possible! It only takes one to stand up and inspire his team mates, and its these players who as you said Happy 'can play his best footy in a losing team' is the complete package a footballer can become. These are the boys we want to hold on to, but in some cases it could be that the coach/player connection just isnt there and players go off the rails as such! Look at Todd Carney for example, he had basically thrown his career away because of a poor attitude but he's obviously found the right connection every young player craves at the Sharks and he's carving it up! Maybe players like David need some extra coach/player time to find the right connection that brings out the best in him emotionally, mentally and physically on and off the field? I hope he can find his balance because it would be such a waste of talent!
