Why not both? Why wouldn’t we all picket their club entrance. Makes for better media as we have a scuffle with their security, we laugh as a chronic gambler comes out with a piss stain in their pants…
AND!
It hurts their pocket as people turn away from entering the club.
Or we could go to a grade cricket game…
has historical significance, correct me if im wrong its the epi center of the battle feildBut the key phrase is that “the NRL listened “ to South’s protest. Plus the fact the March was held right in the centre of Sydney.
Hit the NRL hard on their territory, or somewhere high profile and relevant, not at an unused suburban footy ground.
Issues in governance. So what is cause here? Disrepute?
Pratten Park is our home ground equal 3rd on the ladder and we play there this weekend against Fairfield who are also 3rd.Why wouldn’t we all picket their club entrance. We're not trying to get the club to sell. They're arrogant pricks that got the license for free and don't care what they do with it.In a situation that feels hopeless, it’s great that supporters are trying to do something to address things.
My concern is that HBG don’t care what the fans think, as there is nothing they have done that has indicated that they care what the fans think. The decision to remove the board demonstrates this.
Realistically, what will the rally alone change?
It seems like unless they sell, which seems highly unlikely, they will wait for the emotion to subside and it will be more of the same.
What happens after the rally? Do supporters accept the situation and move on, or are there other avenues to influence HBG to sell?
It would be difficult to accept the situation and keep supporting the Tigers when things feel so hopeless… Life is short, it’s hard to justify investing the limited time available supporting a club run by people I don’t believe in… Surely there are others that feel this way.
don't know who you're speaking for, but i like itWe're not trying to get the club to sell. They're arrogant pricks that got the license for free and don't care what they do with it.
We want the NRL to take the license they gave them for free, away from them, for the extreme negligence and repeatedly bringing the game into disrepute
I like this idea to keep the pressure on. A swag embassy. Imagine how much coin would be lost if the pokies don't get played for weeks/months on end.Why wouldn’t we all picket their club entrance. I admire your enthusiasm for change, but getting rid of burgess is only continuing the poor behaviour of the organisation. The real panacea as I see it is to restructure the way HBG board is selected, and I can’t see that happening for the next decade or 2?With the future of the club at the crossroads we face a do or die moment next weekend with the march to Wests Ashfield.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Balmain Tigers.
This is about securing the future of Wests Tigers.
If Wests Ashfield continue to run the club then I have no doubt the club won't exist in a few years time. If they push Richo out then the whole club will crumble. Benji, Luai and Bula will all leave, others will join them. We'll be a laughing stock the likes we've never seen before.
Our only chance of survival is for Dennis Burgess to be banned from the NRL forever, and for the NRL to take back the license gifted to Wests Ashfield and sell it to a worthy owner who will respect the club, it's past and future.
The joint venture has not and will not work. So long as Wests Ashfield are calling the shots then unqualified, unprofessional Muppets like Denny will anchor us to chaos.

I think once you see the cast of characters who are going to this event, it will become clear why a clash with security isn’t going to end well. Why wouldn’t we all picket their club entrance.
