Not one news article either...not looking too much into it, but could be perceived that some encouragement was given to find something else to talk about.
The main stream media won't cover it for fear they will loose insider access and no longer get leaked info from their sources. It's got to be independant media, like the podcast guys, bloke in a bar. Smaller groups like that with no hidden agendas

I’ll be surprised if this isn’t in the rear view mirror by then. If the turn out was underwhelming this time, it would be even more underwhelming two months down the line. Marshall’s extension won over the casuals.
Perhaps I'm under selling the numbers a bit, a bit over 1k seems about right. I just had visions of the south Sydney protest in my mind when I say I'm disappointed with the turn out.

I'm not going away and will continue to protest, HBG should be done, they're not capable of running the club. I think most feel that way.

If however many years of incompetence and poor results and flip flopping doesn't convince, then the last 12 months of embarrassments surely must.

Any engaged tigers fan sees that HBG is a pernicious and destabilising influence on our club.

Their departure is a chance for our club to become more united and coherent and accountable. The shadowy HBG presence lurks behind all of the missteps and in their constant inconsistency no plan is ever seen through, and therefore no progress can be made as we continually tear down everything we just constructed.

In the end, I think it was the right move to not march up to the club.

It would have been easy to spin it as aggressive and bothering club patrons who had nothing to do with it.

The media seem to have ignored the rally, but hard to ignore at games with all those cameras.
Ch 7 were there the whole time....didnt see any other mainstream media.

I was there but turnout was underwhelming. At least i showed up for my support with a fellow supporter. It would have been good to March to wests club as the rally was too quick. With such a small turnout we wouldnt have caused trouble at all... I'm sure we were all respectful at Pratten Park from what I saw. I was also surprised no mainstream media was there given cops were present.

Not suggesting it's a bad idea. But, what would that have achieved? (A march on Wests).

I'm sure HBG etc are aware there was a rally.

Having it standing outside the office or not wouldn't change that I imagine. Only thing marching might have done was inflame a few already upset people into potentially doing something regrettable

If everyone bought hbgout signs to our trials and matches, that would be potent
Trials no one really follows though.

Maximim impact is round 2 vs cowboys, having the entire leichardt hill turn their back on the game - streaming live on fox Sports for everyone to see.

Just need to give out 100+ signs before the game that say hbg out

THe leichardt hill gets alot of love and attention from the media as it is... So making a political move at scale like this will 100000% make headlines

It was a strategic move from HBG to extend Marshall, bring in a CEO & have Burgess step down in the days before the march. They might be cr*p at running a football club but they aren’t idiots. Id say plenty of casual footy fans that planned on going due to the Richo treatment had their jets cooled by the ‘good news’ they have been desperately pumping out to media the last few days.

Mainstream media have been covering it all week (and fanning the division nicely)

No one would notice that either. You’re better off just not turning up at all.
