Win Now or Wait a Decade: The State of Every NRL Club | CODE NRL

How can anyone call these amatuers Journalists.

really laughable that these clowns think our premiership window is worse then parra and souths....

Absolute amatuer hour

People need to think critically.
Our brand of football up until this point has been incompetent, inept and lacking heart.
That does not inspire outsiders to think we are a chance over the next few years. If that upsets you, then you have the problem.
Having said this, our future is not set in stone and our destiny is in our own hands. The club could have made the finals this year but as a group, did not muster the courage to stand up and take their opportunity.
That needs to change as they can play the game when they switch on.

I watched this a few days ago …. Was actually expecting worse …

Souths get a free ride from the media because of Bennett … for some reason all the juornos suckhole old cranky pants
yea, ah. That reason is the premiership rings and bringing Souths to a grand final game (even though they lost against Penrith).

I agree Souths have problems, yet I don't know if Bennett is just letting the Walkers and current players retire smoothly so he can remake the squad without dramas. They won't be a top 8 side next year, although Bennett will have 'something' planned.

Bennett has had his day … I expect the Tigers to finish ahead of Souths this year …

The only caveat would be if Latrell plays every game at his best …he could take them on a change ..bit like Turbo did at Manly in 2021… in reality though, he is only likely to play half the games as per usual

2024, Yes Incompetent.

Now, kinda a D/E grade if I am being honest. We wern't the titans or Newcastle this year.

We also did not suck. We were bad, but did not suck.

Not sugarcoating anything. If it wasn't Benji I would demand the board fire him for letting 4 forwards go with only one replacement. Our season got derailed more by Pole being out then the while Galvin stupidity IMHO. Feeling kinda hopeful that with KPP + Bunty our pack will be able to hold their own, along with our backs actually getting more in sync. Still problems, namely halfback but 2025 showed improvement and as you say 2026 could be ours if we "muster the courage to stand up".

Yea, I am pissed we missed on signing Latrell when he left easts.
Clearly Madge did not impress him and that really stands out. I hate to say it but maybe a coaches job is part advertising pitch because if we had Latrell instead of Souths we would definately be 2 spots higher on the ladder.

That said, how much is it players going to sleep, how much just luck/rub and how much is it players being targetted.

Brisbane won the GF this year because of Walsh. Did he wake up or did Melbourne make a rare mistake of targetting Reynolds/Ben Hunt instead of the fullback?

I am the opposite,i was pleased when we did not get Mitchell and still am.Sure he can play when and if he wants to but it is fairly rare at club level and gets far too much money for his input. He also seem to have a terrible attitude on the field and if he was with us he would be suspended more often than not.
We were lucky we avoided him imho.
