Wingers - We clearly need a decent winger

Talau is not a winger, don’t know why the coach insists on playing him there. He is a centre or 5/8, could maybe even transition into the back row, but a winger he is not.

Cause we have no specialist winger

Mansour was available and there was a massive backlash on here that we were talking to him. Apparently our juniors were better.

He wanted 3 years….no way…

All Madge needs to do is tell his wingers that if they rush in even once, they'll be dropped to reserve grade the next game.

3 of the Warriors tries came directly from one of our wingers jamming in and for another 2, Talau was caught out of position and they just sailed past him. If Nofo and Talau stay marked against the winger, none of those tries are scored.

I have no idea if this is the coach making the wrong call or the players just have no idea, but even my wife (who hates watching sport) asked why they were rushing up last night.

Not true, if Talau stays on the edge marking the winger which he did during the play rts beat Joey they still score every time, the reason both Talau and nofa rushed out/went for intercepts was because we where outnumbered on the edges. 2 attackers and our winger. ( same situation both sides) for some reason our defence was strong in the middle but forgot to spread to the edges when they needed to

Maybe consider putting BJ on the wing for a game just to see and find a centre. I'm not convinced TT is up to it?

I think BJ is suited to Winger more then center.
He seems a low energy player but one that can spike and do the right actions in the right moments.

BJ hasnt set the world on fire as center.

Talau and nofa made to look bad by poor edge defence, you can’t expect our wingers to mark 2 defenders at one time.

Hang on ...we can have 4 players mark one person ..our entire edge ..marking one person

Well, as the thread suggests, there is not much else to choose from.

Cooper is eligible now,and is solid ,far better then the clowns we have now.

Yep, I would give Cooper an opportunity next week.

He is not a winger, looks like a second rower playing song to me. We need a winger. AJ isn’t a winger, Talau isn’t a winger , Cini isnt a.winger, Hoffman isn’t a winger. We might aswell play Fitzgibbon there and hope for the best. Our options are very limited.

The only thing BJ is suited for is a job on Oxford st. Not suited for anything to do with the west’s tigers.

in all of Nofoaluma's 150 NRL games I have never seen him make an effective tackle. drop him.

BJs attitude is all wrong. He can still do some good stuff but you can't rely on him. Care factor zero - or at least that's how it appears.

And I would say Laurie is still learning how to organise defence from fullback as well as tackle front on
