Woods at lock

If Anasta is in the halves:

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Blair
12\. Fulton/Pettybourne
13\. Pettybourne/Fulton

Fulton is way better at running lines than Pertybourne. His combination with Benji was really strong this year and he scored some great tries close to the line through some clever angled running. Pettybourne is best used as an extra prop to cart the ball forward

pettybourne at lock - no way.
id have him as a prop….

woods at lock i could handle. he is a worker. the creativity is in his offloads.

If Heighno goes next year how do you rekon Woods would go in the no13? He is an awesome prop but he could be like Gallen and play as a 3rd prop because he can play big minutes. If we sign Kite we could start with Kite and Galloway with Woods at 13, will give us some size and is great deffensivley.

I hope Sheens does not read this because he is silly enough to try it for 20 weeks just to see if it works

As it stands, assuming all players are fit. Curtis should play 6, allowing Braith to play lock. Simple really. I understand the idea behind the Woods suggestion but really, why would we do that? Only Woods and Galloway made any impact from our forwards all year long. Lets keep Woods' role simple.

Assuming sheens is still coaching next year, anasta will be no:7 and benji no:6.
Pettybourne will most likely come off the bench as impact.

If I had an ideal pick the Tigers should be throwing everything at Jeremy Smith.

He is 32\. Would rather put the money, time and effort into bringing through one of a number of our talented young backrowers.

We are buying Kite because we are short props, that was obvious this year, we had to buy a park footballer just to fill our ranks. Now we want to move our best one? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

My three options at lock in no particular order are

Fulton ,Bell and Sironen

I'm assuming that Anasta will be in the halves

Still maintain our best form in 2012 was when Bell was in the 13 jersey

Gave us more size which we needed in my opinion

Woods will be (if not already) the #1 prop in the game, that's one part of our roster that doesn't need fixing.
Lock candidates either Anasta, Fulton or Sirro.
To move in the right direction next season our spine needs to be solid from round 1 onwards (barring injury of course, but hey knowing our luck…)
1\. Teddy
6\. Benji (even if plays at "halfback" he needs the 6 on his back)
7\. Anasta
8\. Robbie

I would love to see Ayshford get an opportunity at lock. Or maybe as a part of the forward rotation off the bench. At any rate his best days as a centre seem to be behind him. A good offseason of putting on some muscle and working on his strength and he could be a revelation.

hey hey, dont tease sheens here.. sheens would never turn a prop into a back rower. he turns backrowers/centres/wingers/5/8/hookers into props, not the other way around.
