Worst team since 2003

On paper that is the weakest side we have fielded since 2003\. I challange anyone to find me a weaker one. A slow backline, rookie halves, undersized backrow, rookie prop, rookie bench. Farah and Woods are the only 2 players that would make the starting side of a Top 8 team. It's probably not since 2003 that I went into games thinking we need a miricle to beat our opponents. I feel that this week.

Ironically in 2003 we beat the Bulldogs at the Showground in probably the upset of the season. I remember in that game LIncoln Withers smashing Matt Utai in a tackle. Can't really see it happening this time around but you never know. Sometimes tough times bring out the best in teams, nothing to lose attitude is one that is easy to play with.

I can think of quite a few games since 03 where i have considered us zero chance. This isn't anything out of the ordinary

Gee that's an understatement Eddie; if Withers smashes Utai this time around I'll walk backwards to Melbourne!

I remember we had a heap of players out in 2006 v the raiders at campbelltown. The one where Todd carney kicked a field goal in golden point to end our season. Anyone gather up that team?

Do people really believe the Dogs are that good?

Honestly GNR I don't think they will need to be to beat our side

If Barba has one of those days he can outscore us by himself

i do.. they started off slow, but they're gonna pick up their game.. could be a real smokey for a top 4 tbh

but i hope im wrong

The worst team I can think of was back in round 14, 2008\. It wasn't our backs that annoyed me it was our obviously undersized forward pack up against a massive Parramatta side.

Brett Hodgson
Beau Ryan
Dean Collis
Chris Lawrence
Shannon McDonnell
Benji Marshall
Matthew Head
**Danny Galea**
Robbie Farah
**Bronson Harrison**
Ben Te'o
Chris Heighington
Dene Halatau

John Morris
Corey Payne
Rocky Trimarchi
Tevita Metuisela

Anyways, I think we can surprise them so long as our forwards don't give up easy metres.

The Bulldogs are a shambles and only won on the scoreboard last week… They are no where near the team of 2012 and we might get the benefit with the Referee's this week as they lack discipline more than us.

This game will be won in the preparation!

I dont know how you can say Farah and woods are our only decent players. You think any of the top four teams would knock back Koro or Fulton. I sure dont share your pesimism. We still have a reasonably strong spine despite the smashing weve had at the hands of the injury monster. I recon it will come down to who wants to win the most. In my view this game could be a lot closer than some people think.

The way Lawrence has been playing all season his omission from this week's team can only be an improvement. Also many forum members have for some time been calling for Moltzen to be dropped and for Simona to come into the side.

We have probably offered weaker teams but not many weaker in the backline. Once again I just can't many points in us.

As for the result I have no idea - the dogs have been woeful but could well show a flash of form against us… for sure Desi will be firing them up for this game, selling it to them as being a big opportunity, and he is right!

I didn't think the team was that bad, really. To see we have been given a 12.5 point start against a team who have not set the world on fire was a real shock to me.

If farah plays a team game and let's the halfs control the game we will win easily.our defense isnt bad so far and milller can be a good attacking weapon if he's got the ball

Dogs are nothing flash, they were a bit of a rabble last week and only really won the game due to Sharks bombing try after try opportunity.
We are a good chance of beating them this week, although hopefully the ref's give us a fair go unlike the last 2 weeks.
The Dogs are gonna come good very soon once they have their full complement of players back but they are still vulnerable at this stage.

Way to get behind the team eh guys!, let's kick them while they're down, it's easier this way rather than talk them up, be proud as punch because it won't be long before the positives outweigh the negatives!.

Fulton. Please stop. He's lucky to be in first grade
