No surprise with people again wanting JT gone, but do we really think a new coach would honestly get the best out of these players? I don't think so. Are the players, as a group, really that potentially good? Besides the obvious in Teddy.
Ballin won't be back until Round 10 and even then, how underdone will he be? I would like to see how Brooks and Moses goes with him at dummy half though. Robbie, can still tackle, but geeze his service from dummy half is the pits, let's be honest, it's slow, it grinds our attack to a halt. Other options? Cherry sure, the attack quickens when he is on, but defensively there's still a big question mark. Do we go with that and deal with it?
If we don't change the hooker, I see no point what so ever in making any changes in the halves.
Rankin was a surprise defensively and his goal kicking from a couple of difficult positions, was pretty good…......first one was a shocker though. Disregarding that, we need a goal kicker and based on his last 2 kicks, he should probably get the vote. Did he kind of find his feet on the wing today?
Milone should not be there, I'd like to see Chee Kam be given a go and Edwards as well somewhere.
I feel we're stuck, the cap has hamstrung us terribly on top of it all. The talk of getting this player or that player is nothing but a pipe dream, we can't afford it at this stage.
Changes need to be made, just a matter of where and who and how many to make at once. At this stage, let Cherry play until Ballin is good to go...............unless somehow with Cherry there we're winning games. Milone can't be there. Give Rankin another week maybe?
