Would you care if the club was absorbed by another club?

I definitely WOULD NOT 🚫 accept Wests Tigers merging with, or absorbed by another club. 1999 was enough of a heartbreak without having to go through it again.

I guess my family and I would start supporting our 2nd team that we've sort of adopted since we moved to the Mid North Coast back in 2015...... Newcastle if push came to shove and the Wests Tigers actually merged or got swallowed up by some other mob.

I could still keep my Wests Tigers gear and go support Wingham!! 😂

When visiting my parents I always had a soft spot for the Old Bar Pirates. Times gone bye. Couldn't support any other team than WT in the NRL, if they ever disappeared, wouldn't/couldn't support any other team at that level. My passion is already waning.

Idk if the agreement is still in place, but I remember when we first merged, it was stated, because we made that sacrifice, we would never have to again. Regardless, whether thread was made out of a joke or just feeling emotional, it’s not going to happen. Nor are we going to get kicked out. You don’t get kicked out of competitions for being perennial losers. It’s revenue streams, and despite us coming in last in that report, we are hardly on deaths door financially. So don’t worry, we have a lifetime of heartache still to go. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave *cue solo*

We get bugger all revenue playing there and Wests Ashfield dont cough up enough $$$ for us to barely compete

I think it's time to give up one of our catchment areas. Focus resources and money on one. Let's either be an inner west club or a Macarthur club.

Why would we just hand it over to another NRL club?
And the inner west has minimal juniors. Ok they do.. but compatible to Campbelltown, it's nothing ..

For the Council to come up with $millions and then only have a minimal no. of games played there isn't very enticing Imo.

Your splitting your resources into 2 areas, it might be better to concentrate on just the one. Just spitballing, it's never gonna happen. Our club has its eyes firmly in the rear view mirror.

Good point. You’d think there could be some sort of negotiation between the club and the Council. Some compromise.
