Would you cop the wooden spoon if........

Curtis Sironen, Tim Sim and David Nofoluma were all scratched for the rest of the year to help them recover FULLY from their forever recurring ankle/Knee injuries and Curtis's neck problem. These 3 whilst being talented forever seem to be injured and some rest then a good off season could see the end of the injury checkered starts to their NRL careers.

The pros in this could see the emergence of others more earlier thru blooding them in first grade this year like Marion Seve aswell as giving Sitaleki Akouala another shot in first as he certainly did show potential last year aswell as Lamar Liolevave getting another chance to impress possibly as a prop to overtake Jack Buchanan.Lamar is 112 kg and could be our next Fifita who when Gallen said stuff the tigers just run it straight he improved tenfold.

While the loss of the 3 named will hurt us this year it could put us in a much stronger position this time next year.A wooden spoon isn't something we should be proud of I know but if it helps with the health of our players for next year(due to proper rest) aswell as blooding other youngsters it could outweigh the disappointment of a spoon that this club has never seen.

Your thoughts??????????

Nether of those second rowers have earned another shot. The club needs to build a culture that you need to be outstanding consistently in NSW cup before you 'deserve' a shot.

I do agree with your point on injuries though. Seems stupid to rush players back.

The thing is rugby league is a tough sport and injuries will occur. I wouldn't rush any players back though however just having them off for the rest of this year doesn't mean that they will be 100% fit and available next year.

Coach is on record as saying he will not play players who arent fully fit.

As for the spoon it is never acceptable. Full stop!

We might as well rest them for the rest of the year.
To be honest I can't see us avoiding the spoon regardless

We were a bottom 4 side at the start of the season and we still are

Reckon we will avoid the spoon though , probably 14th or 15th

I just can't stand the crap/nonsense they post on there Happy. The nonsense they write before, during and after games. Just the general garbage they write about is cringe worthy…it's usually players like Lodge, Moses, Sirro and a couple of the other younger guys. I dont see as much from the Keebra boys for some reason.

I can't imagine them posting anything during the game , but if you have proof you should send it to the Wests Tigers management

No I wouldn't,

I don't think we are deserved of coming Last place. We aren't that bad.

I agree we aren't that bad but if we do what I say I reckon we will be a lot better off this time next year. The more I think of Liolevave the more I think that with his offloading skills, his size and his motor he could be our next Fifita as I don't think his mobility is that great for the modern backrower but it would be brilliant for a front rower.Just need to see if he has the toughness so he isn't our next Ben Murdoch Masila instead of our next Fifita.

By giving him a stint of about 6 games in the front row rotation this year if he makes a good fist of it we can then set his off season for more of a front rowers prep rather than the backrow and this could be huge for us next year.

I admire your optimism mate, but we can't play for 80 minutes and for that reason I believe we'll end up with the spoon. Hopefully it's a wakeup call but given our past few seasons…I don't know. We're a mess.

Our position on the table is a true reflection of the lack of quality in our player roster.
I picked 13th place at the start of the year so if we finish last it is below my expectations.

I hope we can clean out the salary cap mess and buy some quality players in years to come.

I love watching rugby league and will now focus on watching the other JT lead his Cowboys to the 2015 premiership.

I agree, we do not deserve last place.

Tigers are better than the Knights, Titans, Worms, Raiders.
