Would you cop the wooden spoon if........

Those guys need to be rested and our season's gone. It would be crazy, and detrimental to their health, to play them half fit for the rest of a lost season. I would definitely rest them and still hope to, somehow, avoid the dreaded spoon.

Agreed Flip.Which is why I initially suggested resting the 3 youngsters. Also provides a good challenge for Milone,Lovett,Santi,Seve,Liolevave and co to play to an achievable first grade level and finish higher than the knights(and others) for the spoon.

Resting those 3 players will have little effect to us collecting the wooden spoon.

We will collect the spoon if we dont win the ruck and fail to build momentum in games.

Our Coach, Forward Pack & Halves will be the ONLY contributor!

I fear all those wooden spoons handed to Parra supporters are coming back my way over the next couple of years. With all those kids in the team we at least needed a leader. JT I am afraid is and won't be the answer.

Wooden spooners probably this year and most definetley next year :bawling :bawling :bawling :bawling :bawling :bawling :bawling

Come on eye of da tiger,it may not all be doom and gloom yet..keep your chin up mate,we have been through some tough times and I'm sure we will get over the top of these times..
The thing with this new board and NRL intervention, anything can happen,it could be exciting,I hope we can smile together in the not to distant future…don't give up yet mate.

Resting Tim Simona and David Nofoaluma will have a big say in us winning the spoon. When they play we are able to finish off tries and when they don't we see Kyle Lovett forced to play centre and concede try after try.

Well I don't rate Siro, so whatever. The other two wouldn't make a difference either. The bottom line is our season is shot anyway so it's irrelevant.

I agree. Our outside backs have a huge influence on us winning and losing games. We have been burned here multiple times this and last season.

Simona and Nofo make a big difference to our team. Nofo still has defensive issues but his attack is great.

If we dont win the ruck and build momentum we will win the spoon regardless… Those 3 will have NO effect in in us winning the spoon!

I agree. Unf we are too light on for centres right now, and only Nofo or Simona offer any kind of threat in attack. If you are not concerned about the centres, it's easy to mark up harder on the halves and cut down their options.

This is a huge consideration for all clubs, and why many halves don't just play well behind a good forward pack, but with good options outside them as well.

Chins up.

After our big newsflash from Marina, it's all a bit irrelevant as to who's playing, if we don't get the spoon this year, and it looks a good chance, we will be favourites for a few of them over the next three years.
It will be interesting When the smoke clears , and we see just who will still be here at the start of 2016.

Re watch that panthers game and tell me a centre doesn't matter. Then watch the souths game where we walloped them with two first grade centres.

Our outside backs have been deciding factors over the last 2 seasons in plenty of games. Speed and skill out wide creates points and stops tries.

When we have Nofo and Simona in the team we are a lot better team. We have no depth in our outside backs and we have probably the worst winger in the comp. Losing 2 gun outside backs absolutely kills us.
