Wests Tigers have a culture of hyping ourselves up and not living in reality. We have players who don't like being told how the situation really is. Players are scared to tell other players what they really think of them. We recently sacked a coach, who every week, without fail, would run out some philosophical drivel.

A lot of this has to do with the difference in generations. Boys/men these days don't like unnecessarily hard task masters. They don't trust them. But you can't let soft standards into your ranks. Coddling a guy won't get him anywhere.

Now I've never met anyone who works in administration at Wests Tigers, but I suspect this runs deep within the organisation.

Our history with releasing players early is a symptom of this ineptitude at an admin level. We shouldn't be allowing contract dramas to be happening during the season. That's a sign of an unstable club. We should be saying to these blokes, "look mate, I know things aren't great now, but we'll talk about it once the season is over."

We should have made a statement by sending Luciano back to reserve grade after he tanked it. Who cares about saving money when you send a negative message to a squad. We're a FOOTBALL club, not a money making machine. Your bottom dollar is how things affects the ability of the squad to perform. Releasing players in the way we released Luciano says a psychological message to the squad that "if things aren't going well, you can just give up and we'll let you go."

It’s almost impressive that one organization was able to assemble such a group of incompetent 🤡, from board level to CEO to the marketing team who approved Benji wall of honour to the bloke checking the fence at LO. There is not one area that this club does well. Forget the on field stuff. If you were writing a movie based on the WT, you couldn’t add half the shit these muppets have done cause it wouldn’t be believable.
