McIntyre and Taylor use the shoulder to drive into a tackle. Eisenhuth works.
Jiash A has a lot if work to do in defence. He is a grabber and many times third man in. JWH makes is personal to get into the tackle first. Tapau and Fonua Blake rolled through the arm grabs.
I’m so impressed with McIntyre. He is a real handful. Still yet to work out his best role in the team long term, but he most definitely has a big part to play going forward.
McIntyre also made good inroads with the ball. Until he came on with Taylor, it seemed our most consistent hardest hitter was Brooks. Some of our forwards need to improve their defensive techniques. Blocker mentioned it was no secret that Tapau and Fonua Blake were going to hit us but our starting forwards weren't prepared.
I wonder if he is an edge backrower we are looking for, or a lock? I think he could be more effective on an edge as he came through the junior grades as a centre, and has played penty of backrow in State Cup. I think Garner may run a better line in attack, but Sam Mac is consistently a better defender. Garner shows glimpses when he hits players front on, he can time a good shot, but it's an interesting conundrum.
I have him pegged as lock. Nathan Brown 2.0 without the penalties.
I wish he was Nathan Brown running the ball. Unfortunately his isnt, idk he looks sort of small to me.
Yeah I know, I thought the same thing about the Harbour Bridge.
