Wests Tigers have welcomed another huge superstar to the Club.
>
A day after presenting golfing legend Tiger Woods with a personalised
'Tiger 1' jersey, Wests Tigers met up with Miami Heat NBA player Dwyane
Wade in Sydney.
>
In town as a guest of Gatorade - Wests Tigers official sports drink
partner - Wade spoke about the importance of hydration in elite athletes
and sports performance.
>
Wests Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri was a participant in the 3 on 3
basketball challenge which saw Wade show off his amazing skills.
>
Following the game, Tuqiri presented Wade with his very own personalised
Wests Tigers jersey featuring 'Wade 3' on the back - the number he wears
for the Heat. He was also given a Wests Tigers New Era cap which he
proudly wore.
>
Wade then learnt to pass a Wests Tigers football from Tuqiri. When
handed the ball, Wade asked Tuqiri 'what is this, it looks like a cross
between a gridiron ball and a basketball'.
>
He then decided to 'slam dunk' the Wests Tigers football, much to the
delight of the crowd and media.
>
Wade also recorded a short video encouraging Wests Tigers fans to become
Members and how he had an 'eye on Blake Ayshford's' number 3 jersey for
next season should the NBA lockout continue.
>
Dwyane Wade's Membership with Wests Tigers gives fans another reason to
"Belong, Become, Be One" and join the Wests Tigers family themselves.

geeze, what's the go with this? The publicity is good and all, but are we going to grab every man and his dog that comes in from overseas?

Tiger Woods isn't exactly a nobody…

didn't recall saying he was

Well Tiger Woods and a NBA all-star (plus gold medal winner) are hardly "every man and his dog".

Considering the expression is used to signify numbers of people, not whether they are average people, what's your point?

2 high profile overseas people (well, one I knew, one I personaly didn't) in the space of a couple of days, just seemed odd.

Well the opportunity came up. I don't think they would have been saying "Sorry Dwayne, our quota of grade A celebrities has been filled for this week. Can you come back in January?". Lote was taking part in an exhibition match with him, so it made perfect sense to do what they did.

Saw him n Lote shootin da hoops on da tv bra

No one noticed the new jersey eh?
Different to yesterday I think it has i54 now instead of e globules

Just disappointed we didnt get Beau to hook up with Kimmy Karbooty while she was out here….what number could she have?

For real tho…
D. Wade is at least top 5 most well known current NBA players/stars.

It'd probably go something like....
1\. Lebron
2\. Kobe
3\. D. Wade
4\. Derrick Rose
5\. Blake Griffin / Rajon Rondo / Dirk Nowitzki

i thought wade was 6'6?! but anyway this is great publicity, alot of young kids still follow the NBA and would love to see this. although i dont see him wearing this jersey much in miami, but wouldnt it be great if he did!
