After you put the scores in does it know who we want to win cause I cannot then pick a team to win without it erasing the scores

to qoute laurie daley…the team that scores the most points wins so if thats your pick you get 2 points...bonus point for margin

geez, we give people the OPTION to pick the score and they complain
next season we just won't bother doing anything at all… why waste the endless hours coding such a comprehensive system?

Kul most of us really enjoy having a comprehensive tipping comp Mate your doing a great job Ignore the few

Option 1 - pick the winner. Picking the score doesn't work if you do this

Option 2 - pick the score. If the score is wrong but the result is still the same, you still get points for picking the winner

if you pick margin but wrong team what happens then ???

It should allocate points accordingly, but i'll confirm this after the round finishes.

Also, just a heads up, your Tipping Rank now appears on the forum underneath your avatar. The rank probably won't match the official rank displayed in the Tipping game as the advanced sorting algorithms put too much pressure on the server. As a result i've cut it down to just a simple sum of all your points, not taking into account other factors like better/worse averages.
This will only affect the ranking of people on the SAME number of points (which at the moment is everyone), but after a few more games this will begin to fix itself.

sorry about this bug. Trying to cross-reference multiple database entries with tips is too hard a task at 12:30am…
i'll have another stab at it tomorrow.
The rank shown in the Tipping page is correct and the points shown under your avatar are also correct.

All the people that tipped last night's results correctly got the Parra/Warriors game wrong :frowning:

yeah same ht, I have Dugan as fullback in a couple of fantasy teams too, the game will probably be a little closer, although I still expect a Raiders win.

Now it looks like I'll be 2 from 5 now.

Listen Kul, i appreciate your work, dont get me wrong, but when i entered i presumed it was straight forward tipping - im not into tipping scores, otherwise i'd be at the TAB every week - just not into it. call me silly! :unamused:

Less is more….and people dont have time to fart arse around with bloody scores, they tick 8 boxes thats all they want

Ever stop and think they dont realise theres an option?
