Does the NRL seed the draw based on last season finish position?

No.

They used to when it was a 15 team comp before the Titans came in, based on three groups of 5 teams…..since then its been a real dogs brekky, as Sataris mentioned, done by some canadian mob

Thanks Ink…doesn't reward a team for finishing higher on the table previous season so at least we get some benefit in 2013\. Add to that the popularity of WT with FTA TV a nd it seems even if we fail dismally we still come out near the top

Happy - Gr8 idea but they whinge about too many games now so probably no hope of getting up

They play one extra game , but get 3 extra games off under this concept

The coaches would become far more important and you would need a real middle of the road squad as well

Like the idea Happy…very good

Snow...the old three pool system didnt really reward anyone as such finishing higher or lower...the way they grouped them it was all very even

I love that idea happy. Makes coaches and coaching teams have to make smart decisions, would also mean players are less likely to play injured which you think the Players Assoc would like. I'm a firm believer in the 30 game home and away league in order to make it a fair comp and this way you need to manage your players.
