Yeah Blame Campbelltown ( CSS)

I just came back from the game. Firstly I felt the crowd attendance of 9500( aproximately) was grossly exagurated. It was amongst the worst crowds I have seen over the last 13 years!!!. The crowd were about as enthusiastic as patients in a dental surgery. All I know if this game was at CSS there would be a total uproar. Two Sydney teams perfect weather conditions. I will tell you something if we are going to get those numbers I would much prefer to be at a smaller stadium. Stop picking on CSS if the team is going well the crowds show up if we are performing as we are it does not matter where we play the people will stay home.It felt like a ghost town tonight. :bawling :bawling :bawling

SFS isnt a homeground. We play there not for the local fans, but because they pay us a premium to do so.

As soon as we got to surry hills, knew its be a poor crowd, usually see people in jerseys but there was none, parked in the school with a handful of cars….said to my son walking there if its under 10k they'll post 11000....thought the number seemed accurate....its hard to get enthusiastic when the teams playing like crap and it takes 2 hours to get there.

If the teams winning the crowds show....we are as fickle as any other mob

Is the $$$ reaped in from SFS worth the lack atmosphere you get at suburban grounds?

10k at CSS is not the best but would have felt better..

Will 6 LO & 6 CSS ever eventuate again?

I'll be interested to see the reaction of people in 2 weeks when LO barely breaks 10K, coming off about 7 or 8 straight losses, playing against an inter-state team who are lucky to attract 500 supporters of their own to away games. Very interested

At least the atmosphere will be there.

The NRL wants an average crowd across the game of 20,000 by 2017\. Do the sums, not going to happen with grounds with capacity of 20,000.

As much as I want 6 & 6 at LO & CSS, not going to happen.

Is the $$$ worth the lack of atmosphere? Hell yes. Can you imagine the balance sheet if we had to rely on gate takings this season?

Sharks fans seemed to almost outnumber WT fans. That says it all for me

Crowd was crap and no excuses as weather was good, stadium is good - but we made a shed load more cash from that game the the same crowd at Campbelltown or Leichhardt. I would as I said about the Campbelltown crowd prefer the games at ANZ I think we would draw more fans and make more money

I'm going to the old girl in two weeks for the first time in 15 years (been living in Brisbane and work doesn't give me the opportunity to go). At least I won't have to worry about not getting a ticket. :bawling :bawling

Due it was going to be poor as I made my way in no traffic at all no one making there way to the crowd all the surrounding pubs seemed empty. More shark fans there last night and the tiger fans who were there felt like they were just going for the sake of it. It's hard to get up for the game when in the back of your mind you're thinking 'don't let it be too bad'

I fear for the crowd at leichhardt in a couple of weeks especially if the weather turns colder and if it rains it will be a complete disaster

Only if we're winning boony…as last night showed
And more games would = less money.....if your product is crap that wont pay as much.

Got the same crowd at Leichhardt last year for ellis' final game, while still a chance at the finals

We'll re-sign benji the week prior….that will be good for a few extra thousand....they always time the ''good'' news for the LO lead up week

ANZ won't want us soon if these numbers keep up. Not viable for them to give us all that cash.I would suggest you refer back to the statements you have made in previous threads about Cambo. Still waiting for your mate Simon to appear on this thread???

Obviously if its a bad crowd it will be because the peeps of the Macarthur region didnt travel(my fave poor crowd excuse trotted out time and again by the usual suspects on evil Balmain types who dont make the trek out to Cambo).

If its a good crowd its cos the Balmain faithful have yet again got behind the team and showed up in numbers.

Its a win/win.

Your hatred and intolerance of Wests/Ctown is actually quite a head scratcher what happened a teen mum from cambo with 5 kids turn you down?

Anyway, at least try and make it less obvious as you seem to wear it with a badge of honour

I dont blame people for not turning up last night. After the poor performances we put in the last few weeks I wouldn't pay to watch professional footballers who can't even catch a ball

Where I was sitting with @tigerbenji… didn't seem like too many were there to watch the game at all. Was very hard to see what was happening on the field with most others getting up multiple times for beer stops. Felt like most people where we were sitting were there only to drink. Not interested in the game at all!!

Seriously dudes. This club will never move forward whilst this Balmain vs Wests rubbish continues. I suppose it can't happen until those grumpier, bitter older types move on and the new generation of supporters comes through. The kids support Wests Tigers and don't give a toss about Balmain or the Magpies. If the board/admin only had to worry about one brand and not three separate entities, it might lead to a more successful Wests Tigers.

Wow, if the merger is still such a problem, go and support an original like the souless Easts.

I travelled out from the Macarthur region. This whole bullshit with Balmain and Magpies fans has to stop, I mean it has been almost 14 years now. I think it's time to move on and support one club
