I think what they were saying was, Robertson stripped the ball from Gasnier (thus it wasn't a knock on) and then Gasnier grounded it.

That's the only outcome I could come up with that had any sense behind it, absolutely dreadful.

It has to be that separation ruling that they were talking about at the start of the year where they would give some leeway if there was a small separation as the ball was being put down. But there was no way Gasnier has control of that.
