Ill go with the obvious pick of The Ute, i reckon he will exceed his 2021 form and play origin this year

My 2nd pick is Simpkin...got a huge chance this year to knuckle down and cement that 9 jersey

I would've said Hastings but he has been hyped up so much on here, it feels redundant.

I think Seyfarth will be a consistent workhorse with some mongrel in him, but not really a breakout.

Stefano had an unexpectedly good season last year and this year I think he's going to have a "breakout" season in NRL levels and not just WT levels.

I was going to say Musgrove but have a few reservations about him.
I've seen him at his damaging best at Souths and up until the 2nd trial we've seen absolutely zilch from him.
I've said in previous posts that he needs to get way deeper in attack and run like a man possessed and hurl himself at the "D"
In the second trial he had 3 runs that showed glimpses of his old firm.
With Tamou out we need him to produce.
If we are any chance of beating the Storm, then he and Stef need to intimidate their pack, hard ask I know.

Jake Simpkin has a massive opportunity now Liddle is injury and I think he will make the position his.

Seyfarth is hitting the right number of games for a prop to start being a force and I have high hopes for him.

Kelma Tuilagi for mine, irrespective of whether he's off to Manly or not. has plenty of talent and will get a stack of game time given our depth in the back row.

Obvious breakout opportunity players would be Tuilagi & Simpkin they well get a heap of gametime. Madden maybe but he needs someone to get injured before he gets a fair crack.

Gildart & Toa wouldn't be eligible for rookie award.

The only Rookies in the squad are Tupou & Kei outside of the 3 on dev contracts who won't get called up this year. At this stage doubt we will be able to name a Rookie of the year as those guys are a way off NRL level.
