I had that same feeling after that game, I remember Hodgo sliced a couple of relatively easy conversions, and then when we were on top, Galovau carried a bunch of tigers for 10 metres for a try. Heartbreaking loss but at the same time it left me feeling optimistic.

I also remember in the last minute we had a good backline move going, when Pritchard knocked the ball on going for an intercept which was somehow deemed not played at.

Oh yeh I completely forgot about that, it was pretty blatant to I dont know how the ref missed it! We were in their own half and they were on the backfoot too from what I remember.

Geez that was a shocker of a year with the refs, there was that, Archer vs Dogs at C-Town, and also the match up at Suncorp where a win wouldve put us into the finals, I remember with a minute left, Pat Richards scored but the video ref ruled it to be in touch when I thought it shouldve been benefit of the doubt.

You guys pretty much mentioned all of my favs.

**One game that I dont think was mentioned was in 03 against the Dogs at the Showground. They hammered us at Campbelltown earlier in the year, and we were coming off a 5 or 6 game losing streak and yet we beat them on their turf. I cant remember the exact score (16-10?) but I remember Terry Hill having a big game, his first at lock from memory.**

Another favourite was when we played the Warriors in 04 at Jade Stadium, I think we were up 40-0 at halftime with Halatau, Mears, and Kerr having big games through the middle… Sadly that game was followed by 50-0 and 56-0 losses and a 5 game losing streak.

The Roosters in 05 to back up our win against the Dogs, it was tit for tat all game until some individual brilliance by Prince won it.

Also Brisbane at Suncorp in 06, Lawrence and Jeffrey having big games on debut with Elford playing at 5/8 yet we ran away with it.

Was that the game where O'Halloran scored a length of the field intercept try? I remember we were huge underdogs, but all day i just felt we'd win. I remember my wife saying i was off my head, but u know how sometimes u just get that feeling of confidence and cant shake. I loved that game.

Yep that was the game mate, I keep thinking it was McGuinness that took that intercept but he left at the end 02 so yep it was O'Halloran.
I had that exact feeling about that game too, I remember I wanted to watch it so badly, but I wasnt allowed and mum said theyre probably gonna lose anyway (I remember they watched "Gonged but not forgotten" on the Comedy channel instead lol), so unti I only got to see the replay I only saw the end and I remember everyone besides me really was in total shock.
I remember Laurie Daley saying at the end of the game that he didnt give us a hope and he didnt think we could do it lol.

I still think of that game now as the turning point towards our premiership, because after that, we finished the season reasonably well, some youngsters came in, there were some big wins (Like vs Newcastle and the Sharks) and some tight losses (We also got robbed against Canberra when Pearson threw a "forward" pass which wouldve won us the game if let go).

So I see that as a big game in our history.

Telstra 05 v Bulldogs 56 - 2

OH YEAH!
Both Dogs games that year were awesome

Others off the top of my head:
Broncos semi
Manly at Leichhardt 05
Canberra and Cronulla away '05
Souths games at Leichhardt
Lawrence debut in Brissy
Parra at SFS '09
Souths at SFS 2002 - Buddah scored 4 I think…Sheens had just been appointed coach and was there watching

Had a bit of a think and leaving out the '05 Finals games here are my top 10 season games

1\. ‘07 V Melbourne Bluetounge..30 to 12…No Hodgo..Fitzy at fullback...Marshall goes down....CRAP.....Enter CHRIS LAWRENCE.....and still plays some of his best games against the Storm.

2\. ‘03 v Broncos in Queensland 12-10....Benji’s very first starting game as halfback with again Fitzy as his partner......first win in Queensland....first victory over the Broncos as Wests Tigers

3\. ‘05 V St George Illawarra OKI Jubilee 32-24 sweet revenge against the Dragons .... Arrrhh on the hill surrounded by the ARMY after the humiliation of the previous season.........Hodgo carved Up..Big Patty grabbed a double...Benny Galea’s try still a fav.....

4\. ‘01 v St George Illawarra 26-24 SFS.....Buddha 2 tries.... come from behind at half time....big games from Simon and Tyrone Smith.....

5\. ’04 v Dogs in Gosford...30-26....Robbie Mears came on and carved the Dogs up. Kieran Kerr scored his only try for the Wests Tigers

6\. '05 v Manly Scum Friday night at Leichhardt smashed them 49...something.....the whatever you score we will score more style was in full sing..Benji two tries I think....and Liam scored a classic...

7\. ’05 V Canberra 22-14 on their dung heap.....come from behind thanks to the brilliance of Hodgo...remember Sheens commenting on the win as very important in the context of the season......

8\. ’08 v Cowboys in Townsville.....Harrison’s freak try from some great work from Moltzen staring at 5/8th...+ Bronson’s stint in the bin for bugger all....Great win up there early in the season....

9\. 02 V Melbourne Leichhardt 26-16.....shocking weather..... small crowd....Danny Williams king hit on Buckets.....the hatred of Melbourne intensified....

10\. 06 V Melbourne again at Leichhardt....Grub Slater stomping Skando.....raced to a big lead and held on for grim death.....7 tries to 5 but Hodgo only landed 1 goal....

Top 5 most gutted.......

1.’07 V Knights ANZ, ......still shake my head thinking about this game......
2.’09 V Eels SFS......losing Tuiaki was as bad as losing this game....
3\. '07 V Souths Leichhardt,...seeing Robbie take the field needled and struggling and Souths....enough said.
4.’06 V Manly Brookvale,...Brett Stewart the freak.......
5.’07 V Parramatta ANZ....thought we here hitting form...Parramatta going nowhere until that Monday night........
