We've all experienced them, right? Realising that it's too late to come back down from the top of the diving platform...thinking skydiving looked more fun on TV than now that you are about to jump out of a plane .. getting to the game and forgetting tickets at home, after a 2 hour drive..

What was yours? 🙂

Mine is walking into rooms with an idea that you’re gonna learn something , and that the people running meetings and delivering info are soo much smarter than you , and have thier shit figured out … only for 10 minutes in . And 1 or 2 well thought out questions , do I realise “oh shit these guys are literally morons who learnt how to speak in riddles and make hand gestures. “ usually followed by me tuning out in some way or another .

Used to work on the ski patrol at Charlotte Pass. I was doing a 'mountain sweep' at the end of the day in atrocious, near white out conditions. And despite being cautious, managed to ski off a reasonably high cliff - I just didn't see it in the conditions! That was definitely an "oh shit" moment. Fortunately I landed in a snow drift. Took a while to dig myself out, but eventually happily retired to the bar for a couple of quiet ones!
