Some of you people really have no idea. Anasta to play halfback????? As far as I know he has never played there in his life but in he goes!
There needs to be big changes and I mean big. Moltzen has to go, Utai, if he stays, to the bench as he at least can play in the forwards or the backs.
Someone put Kite ( if we get him ) on the bench. WTF?? Gallaway to the bench. Heino, as much as he has done for the club, has to go as well.
We need a halfback. No discussion. Benji is not a halfback, never was and never will be. I like the idea of trying him at fullback. Very dangerous with lots of room to move. Could be the reverse of Lockyer and it worked ok for Inglis.
A lot of people do not like Miller, however he should be given a chance to prove himself with a long stint in first grade, not just 30 minutes here and there. His kicking game would be invaluable to our attack.
We need to shore up our defence in the centres. Thompson was very good in that department before he was injured. Need to see how he goes in the preseason, but worth a try in that position.
We have all seen the difference that Koro has made to our team. That is because he has pace and more pace. That's why I would give John Grant a go to see how he goes. He has pace to burn and is big and is great under the high ball.
BMM, should be given more time in the middle, either at second row or prop. Match fitness will see him as one of the best attacking players that we have. Not sold on Pettybourne at this stage. Will have to wait and see.
We are getting smashed through the forwards of late, so we need to put some big boppers on the bench. Gallaway, Utai, a couple of those young blokes in the NYC would be worth a try.
Ayshford could be released as well. No big loss judging on his latest form.
So the team should look something like this (but it won't): Marshall, Koro, Lawrence, Thompson, Grant, Anasta, Miller.
Forwards: Woods, Farah, Kite, BMM, Fulton, Blair.
Reserves: Gallaway, Pettybourne, Utai, Bell and blood some of those young blokes from the NYC.
Coach: Nathan Brown
