Why Simona on the wing and Nofo in the centres tigertye? Or was it just a typo?
Not a typo.
Nofo in my opinion would make a great centre. He just seems to have that ability to break a tackle better than Simona because of his power. He generally beats the first man when he scoots from dummy half and is much harder to stop and eats metres.
I remember a try he scored in the middle of the field off a scrum where he beat about 4 guys to the try line. He's got that Hurrell type of player about him, but better defence and ability in the air.
Simona is probably faster and has better footwork and relies on that a lot to beat his man. I think swapping them around might benefit them both. I know Nofo is very good in the air, but I just get the feeling he would be able to beat his man more often than Simona in a one on one situation and would then be able to set up his outside man with more space. Simona could then have more room to move and beat his man with speed and footwork.
Simona also had a couple of blinders on the wing in previous years.
Naqaima has to stay in the team, offers more in attack than Lawrence who even though hasn't gone too bad this year, just doesn't offer as much in attack. Kev also is pretty safe with the high ball and solid in defence. Sadly I think the transition to the back row is inevitable for Rowdy. He hits and runs hard but in terms of lateral movement and footwork it just doesn't seem to be there.
Naiqama pending form could hold the spot until Seve steps up which I have no doubt he will.
Simona is a good centre and Nofo a good winger. It's just my thoughts and wouldn't mind seeing it to see how it goes if they swapped.

Just continuing the love affair… Personaly I dont think Taylor is all that interested in playing with our Centres. He seems very focused on our backrow & forward rotation at the moment.

Another forumer (tigertye) suggested Simona and Nofo change positions on another thread. Had some valid points about their style of play suiting the different positions. Probably won't happen in reality, but it seems like a good idea. Nofo as a barnstorming centre opening the way for his speedier outside man in Simona - I quite like it.
