Your team vs Eels

They will target Madden on the 5th. He kicked every kick bar one from API. Hopefully Douhie can kick next week. Otherwise the markers will put pressure on Madden all day
Andrew Johns has spoken about this previously. The kickers are so protected these days there really isnt much pressure on them at all.

My only concern with Jock is his defence.

You can still disrupt. Madden's 2nd last kick went. Nowhere after defence got to him.

The Eels backline shifts are as good as any team in the comp. Our left edge will be targeted all game. You would imagine our forwards should be able to set the platform for a win. But if the Eels get a roll on they are very hard to stop
Don’t discount there forwards , they are big and mobile

No game is easy in the nrl. We were underdogs against the wahs. I know Benji doesn’t like comparisons to previous years but we do have a history of letting these ones slip. If we play like we did against the wahs and cowboys then we should win.

If we can keep the same team.

Think Eels backs will take it to us.
The young lads - Luke, Masi & Tino will be up against it.

Masi, needs to stay on the wing for now.
Agree. Think Benji should make the call and shift Masi to the wing to continue learning first grade. That edge is leaking a lot of points and at this stage he likely moves there as soon as may and/or toa are fit regardless.

Im concerned that Mitch Moses will direct more traffic against our inexperienced players.

Our forwards are much better though.

We can win this.
Are you saying, the forwards should target Mitchell Moses? 😏

Like to see us try and rattle him.
Every touch, he's getting charged at.

Yes please, we always seem to treat him like he is covered in spiders. A couple of bone rattlers early on will put him off his game. Need to channel that Saifiti hit on Galvin and do the same to moses and to every other dominant halfback we play against.

All for it

Keep it legal

No changes for me, but if Toa fit bring him in, Tavana loses his spot and Turuva back to wing.

Also, could move Turuva to side with Makasini, but that would be my second option. Also good to have the combo between Luke and Makasini develop.

And positions!
Can't believe some experts on here still have Doueihi at 7.
He just had a blinder @ 6.
Why? Because 7 set him up for him to play the way Doueihi likes---running----doesn't have to think about team management. The big picture of field position, kicking.
It was done for him.

I think our best team this year has Douehi at 7, Luai at 6 and Toa and May in centres. Next year Latu 7 with Luai 6, the year after Latu 7 and Andrews at 6.

No need to worry about any kickers getting targeted in the way they are protected in today’s game,
The best thing I saw on the weekend was a one on one tackle by a Newcastle forward on his Canterbury opponent, front on right under the ribs and drove him into the ground, the game was stopped for about 3 minutes because he couldn’t get up to play the ball.
I was surprised in today’s game the tackler wasn’t penalised for tackling with too much force causing injury.
