I think maybe the time has come to see whether API could be better utilised at 7 with Simpkin at 9. Probably too radical to happen but just keep thinking it may work.
If there was any chance of Brooks being on the bench , I’d go to the Fiji WC halves combo of API and Wakeham,
Also would try Bateman at 13 and Blore at 12. For me, Pole has been somewhat disappointing.
And of course, the boring brothers Twal and Joffa just keep appearing. But I know everyone is going to tell me how good and reliable they are, and who do you replace them with.

Reilly, bottom of the barrel stuff. He is terrible. Shouldn’t be anywhere near a top 30 spot.
 
Why are we still going with same centers that rushed up and left gaping holes for broncos to march thru and Moses to grubber behind . Did anybody watch the games .
Staines at fullback and Tupou on one wing are a lock as is our pack .We need a solid defensive hold the line backline and of course a decent playmaker . Sheens will pick
Wakeham and Brooks as the half's. I would try Laurie and Brooks myself and if fit give nofo another go on the wing . AJ is a good bench utility or 2nd row . Try Matamua or Saukuru in the centers .A bit radical but what we have been doing isn't working

Saukuru looked good against the eels , not sure he could handle the step up in class

time to change it up. Matamua at first receiver with Brooks playing both sides of the ruck. Bateman can play as a run first, pass second type 6 and allow him to roam out the back of shape on both sides. Staines pushing through the middle and a bench of quality middles should see us get this done.

Bench rotation thoughts:

Stef comes off at sometime for Pole so that he can do some damage runs for 10-15 minutes.
 
Until we get some new backs there's not much that can be done to fix the situation. However, I wouldn't be playing laurie as based on his recent performances he doesn't deserve to be in the side. I'd probably try a half of footy with api at 7, brooks at 6 and simpkin at 9. And then if that doesn't work which it probably won't bring wakeham on at 7 and put api back at 9. Either way we are going to lose and probably lose this week pretty badly. I also can't see how they think the halves pairing can be brooks and wakeham for the rest of the season so they might as well start mixing it up.
 
Centers we seriously need a couple of centers .We are really suffering with no good pairing here . We improvised with wingers and bench utility 2nd rowers . We leak way too many points because our backline is out of position. Who the hell do we pick vs Manly
Aj rushes up out of the line ,Toa is too lightweight imo . We are blessed with a lot of good forwards maybe Blore or Pole or Matamua could show some multi skills as centers .
Last game we found 2 backline positions Staines at FB and Tupou on wing now that we've got at least 2 spots covered leave them there stop moving them around .
Can we find a center in Cup or Flegg ? Saukuru shows some promise ! Feledy ? Don't know much about him . I know we need a playmaking half but pointless talking about it Sheens will stick with Brooks and probably Wakeham
At the moment we are covered with FB ,plenty of wingers ,good pack but no decent centers

Again strong forward pack, still think Joe O and Alex Twal are not bench players. I would rather see Joe O start and Stefano or Paps used as off the bench impact. Particularly Twal is not a bench player.

Our back line just... SUCKS. 🙁
Other then Stains it's a reserve grade backline.

What does too lightweight mean also Feledy can't play until after round 10 and Saukuru would have to be upgraded

With feledy I did say I don't know .I was just asking a question thanks for answer . I thought Saukuru was in our top 30 he is listed in our 30 players on Nrl website
Anyway have no idea if either of them could handle 1st grade im just wondering .
Re Toa originally a winger at Newcastle he's not a big frame and having Tommy T ,Parker and Harper and Shuster running at him ? He will need to hang tough ..
Nearly all the top sides have a gun center pairing but not us

Wrong Saukuru mate.

Livai is the centre you’re thinking of in NSW Cup, not in our Top 30.

Apisalome (nickname is Lomi) is in our Top 30, playing Flegg at the moment.
