I like Simpkin being there, but if we can get 80 out of Liddle, then I would like to see Blore in his spot.

Agree also with Talau, he did score a good try, but his errors will cost us, think Cooper or Fitzgibbon is worth a go, or even Cini worth another shot.

I like Talau but there is no way he's a long term winger in FG.
He's so slow.

I forgot about JTJ, would he be worth a shot? I can't see him going back to the centres.

Probably just to give him a rest and also to give Blore a run.I doubt if its anything more sinister than that,also you cant have too many inexperienced players in the team at the same time.He will be back soon

2 guys you mentioned aren’t even in the squad and not showing anything warranting a first grade debut. You want to bring cini in who had one of the worst games I’ve ever seen by a rookie.. atleast 5-6 big mistakes that cost us, for Talau who made 1-2 mistakes with 1 not even counting.


As for the side I would keep it the same 1-13, only change would be madden which is rough on the kid but he doesn’t really offer much impact of the bench. Would love to give amone a crack. Think mikaele and amone could be a massive one 2 punch for us.

I know that option leaves us in a bad spot if we get a injury in the back line. Teams these days always have one utility on the bench. So if Madge wants that an Unpopular decision, but cheekam can play in the forwards or backs. Can play long minutes and would have him coming on running hard on the edges with his footwork can do a job around fatigued forwards.

Obviously the popular decision in the group is Simpkin of the bench. Which is understandable since we looked our weakest when liddle came
Of on Friday. I just want more impact in terms of meters made. But service out of dummy half is very important for the full 80, hopefully Simpkin can show us that running game everyone keeps saying he has.

Have you been watching reserve grade? It was my understanding that T&T guys could be available after R10?

Anyway, I didn't state they should be in the side, but are certainly worth consideration and as for Cini, do we just cut him loose now because of one game?

Amone, Simpkins & Tuilagi are destined for the top grade as well?

Madge seems keen to see how these blokes handle it.

A few defensive issues probably will still be out of the side due to not being able to play on the weekend.
This forum is so fickle everyone wanted MADDEN in the team he got 15 nervous minutes now everyone wants him out

Re-watched the game. Defence is still a concern tbh. Blore really helps - dominates almost every tackle he is part of. He ended up playing lock for five mins and both left edge and right edge for ten each. In a week or two wouldn’t mind seeing him start on the left edge and then bring garner on after 20 or so. Think it could also help go forward in initial period when both Tamou and Twal are on at same time. He can then come back on at end of game wherever he is needed.

Other than that - Simpkin in for madden would be only change. Stefano is too good to be in nsw cup for long though needs to force his way back if the team backs up the performance against the warriors. Still need a left winger though talau is easily best option we have.

I’ve got a left field theory and it involves making drastic changes every week. Seems to work for us every time…When we name an unchanged line up following a win, the opposition can watch the tape from the week before, locate our obvious defensive weaknesses and design plays to attack those weak spots. With a new line up the opposition has to come up with their game plan at half time instead.
