Rotate props at 20 and 25 packer first then matulino. Eisenhuth for felise and benji for macca (reyno to hooker) in last 10 before halftime
Between 55th and 60th minute both props back, around then eisenhuth back for lawrence.
Ivan feel free to make the rest of changes, probably Macca for benji.

Hearing McQueen and **nofo won't be picked** for round 1.

Personally can't see it happening but could you imagine the uproar if he isn't picked? We already lack real firepower in our backline and our most consistent outside back (Bar defensively) could possibly not be picked? Sorry, have I missed something?

Trial agaist sharks?

Benji in doubt with calf injury, will still be named in the squad

No point risking him for round 1 against a physical Chooks pack. I'd be inclined to run 4 forwards on the bench, with Taylor having the ability to slot in at 9 giving Godinet a break.

Rochow’s been rolled out to the media to talk about the Roosters game. I’m taking that as him being in the starting side on the right edge. I was somewhat uninspired by his signing (thought he’d just be a depth player), but I was impressed with his performance in the trials and I think he deserves his spot considering some of our other forwards have had their preseason disrupted with injuries and no trial run.

Taylor has a hamstring strain, so he’ll have a tentative start to the season. I’d expect to see him coming off the bench and playing much less minutes than we are use to. He said himself in that recent interview that hamstrings can effect your whole season if it’s not managed well.

Lots of hamstring strains , do we need to look at Concord ??

The reason I ask this is my EPL club WHU actually found that their training ground (Chadwell Heath ) was causing many of the unusually high amount of hamstring /calf injuries

Our maybe look at Ronnie…

Soft tissue injuries declined under Potter/Taylor S & C..

Jeez these new age footballers are soft. Twinged this, strained that. Back in the good old days forwards didn't have hamstrings

Not that it really mattrrs but my memory is that this only occurred under Taylor. I recall a large number of soft tissue injuries under Potter

Brad Arthur was talking last night about when Moses came over. Said his gym work was poor and he lacked strength.

Ivan and Ronnie are trying to produce a stronger more resilient team. Add that to the age of some of these guys and im not concerned one bit about a few tweaks and strains.
