As a couch coach from what ive seen so far - this is my team to beat queensland.

1\. B. Stuart (Manly)
2\. J. Hayne (Parramatta)

6\. K. Gidley (Newcastle)
7\. T. Carney (Cronulla)

8\. S. Kasiano (Canterbury)
9\. R. Hinchcliffe (Melborne)
10\. M. Weyman (St. George)
11\. F. Mateo (New Zealand)
12\. P. Gallen (Cronulla)
13\. L. Lewis (Penrith)

14\. R. Hoffman (Melbourne)
15\. T. Williams (Manly)
16\. A. Woods (Wests)
17\. B. Morris (St. George)

18\. T. Simms (North Queensland)

Have no idea for the other two back positions. Those three are the definite stand outs this year. Looking at the City Country teams the backs are quite poor. Don't know on the fitness of Jennings.

Edit: If Tony Williams is available after suspension, sub him in for Beau Scott

Everybody seems to be naming the same losers that have been there the last 6 years. The Birds, Gidleys and Scotts just do not have it.

Correct thinking Suntan. Guys like Ennis, Pearce, Soward, Creagh, Scott et al.wouldnt get a look in if they were QLDers for one reason. Whilst good NRL level players, they are just not up to it at SOO level. That is a pretty solid squad you have there but I would seriously consider Hayne for fullback. The only blokes who have consistantly stood up to the Maroons over the years are Gallen, Hayne, Watmough and Lewis. Uate was a good find last year and it is time for Carney to have a crack. If fit, Williams is a must. Your centre pairing is a decided weakness though. On current form they will be anihilated by Ingliss and Hodges. I am not sure what you can do about that however….
