Your Tigers side vs Knights

RMS your starting backrow is so small and lacks impact.

Rather see Thompson start ahead of Fulton and Blair at lock.

Fulton back to bench.

Buchanan, Pettybourne and BMM to spend time at prop until Woods comes back.

bodene isn't ready to start.

his first game back in the 1st trial his words were,"I was gassing out there at the start.

he comes off the bench in the 2nd trial and reports are he did well.

3rd trial and he did nothing in his first stint.he actually did less than blair, which is pretty amazing.

if anyone needs to be rewarded after the trials it is pettybourne.
there was a noticeable difference when he came on and i believe it was the best period we played all night .

I'd prefer a 4 Forward Bench, but we dont seem to have enough stock?!

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Brien
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Buchanan
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Murdoch-Masila
12\. Anasta
13\. Blair
14\. Fulton
15\. Bell
16\. Pettybourne

What side I want to see form over the first half of this season:
1\. Teddy
2\. Koro
3\. Aysh/Brien (wanna see him crack 1st)
4\. Rowdy
5\. Utai/Nofoaluma (eventually will take over from Matt)
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller/Moltz (best combo with Benj & Robbie)
8\. Woodsy
9\. Robbie
10\. Galloway
11\. Anasta
12\. Pettybourne
13\. Blair

14\. Fults
15\. BMM/Gavet
16\. Buchanan
17\. Groat/Bell

Key is to stick with a structure, the first rounds can be designed to trial and error. Trick is to build a back-bone and I believe Moltzen could jump Miller to form it with Teddy, Benji and Robbie.

I reckon that is what we will see for the run on in R1, I reckon Woods won't be ready until R2 or 3\. The biggest mystery for me is the make up of our bench and backrow. We won't be seeing Gavat for another 4/5 months unfortunately, and Groat is still gone for another ~8 weeks.

As my objective would be to use our smaller pack to take the initiative away from the bigger and more physical Knights forwards from the start the focus would be starting with forwards that have good line speed in D and can maintain that for up to 30 mins. I wouln't try and take them wider of the ruck as they would expect , rather surprise them by running up the guts, looking for quick play the balls to gain momentum and quick players like Tedesco continually looking for an offload or a short kick over the top from either Marshall or Farah..I think if we can blunt their forward momentum in the first 20-30 mins their bigger forwards will tire and present an opportunity for our power runners like Pettybourne, Utai, Thompson, BMM to take advantage at the back end of each half. I would also get Miller and Anasta far more involved in attack so the knights don't just have to focus on Marshall & Farah to shut us down and especially let Miller work with Koro and Nofu on the edges as he did so effectively in NYC.

1\. Tedesco - Follows the forwards all nite looking for an off load. attacks the bombs put up by Marshall & Anasta and short kicks over the top
2.Koro - kick return and works with Miller on the edges like they did in NYC
3.Ayshford - kick return, covers for Marshall in D
4.Lawrence - kick return, D and runs straight lines off Marshall but out wider
5.Nofu - Kick return and works with Miller on the edges like hey did in NYC
6.Marshall - takes a step back, plays wider and watches for opportunity to either take the line on himself or set up outside backs
7.Miller. Focus on D and working with Koro and Nofu to create chances dow the edges
8.Bell - First 20 with focus on D then rotated with Masilla who is told to run up the guts not out wide
9.Farah. Focus on D and distribution to forwards running up the guts and managing ref to get quick play the balls.
10\. Galloway First 15 then rotated with Utai who is told to run up the guts for 15 then Galloway resumed
11\. Blair First 30 with a focus on D then is replaced by Pettybourne who is told to run up the guts
12.Anasta - Plays all first half and along with Fulton is a leader of the gang tackles and also shares the tactical kicking..bombs
13.Fulton - Plays all the first half and is the leader in gang tackles and covers for any break up the middle

14.Pettybourne
15.Thompson
15.Masila
16.Utai

1\. Moltz

If Pettybourne doesn't start at prop he will definitely spend some time there no doubt. Fulton shifts to cover the back line

I named the team 1 to 17,,, Even had Buchanan in the starting side.

However didnt think Fulton and Anasta would be in the starting side together. So that was a bit mixed up. I should get a prize.

I can see Sheens sitting in his Hotel couch in the UK singing.

"I left you with no forwards, no forwards, no forwards. hardy har har"

Bastad.
