Wests Tigers have today announced the signing of Zane Musgrove for the coming three years.

The new agreement will see Musgrove join Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2021 NRL season.

The front-rower has played 27 NRL games since making his first-grade debut for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 1 of the 2016 season.

The 22-year-old also made his international debut in the 2017 World Cup, playing for Samoa against Tonga.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire said he looked to working with Musgrove over the coming seasons.

"When I worked with Zane previously and he played consecutive games I could see that he was growing into a really strong player," said Maguire. "With more experience I can see him excelling in the future.

"He brings size, strength and skill to our pack and works hard on his defence," he said. "I look forward to working with him to help him reach his potential."

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe welcomed Musgrove to the club.

"As a club we're excited that Zane has joined us and we look forward to being able to provide him with an opportunity at Wests Tigers to pursue a clear pathway to progress his NRL career," said Pascoe.

Not many Front Rowers are the run on props at 23.
Musgrove has a different style than the rest of our pack. He probably won’t play long minutes but will give his all in trying to get through the line.

I think he's probably pegged as 4th prop at this stage depending on what happens with lock. If Twal goes to lock then he's 3rd prop with Eisenhuth/Mikaele/Clark/Aloiai fighting it out for 4th prop.

The guy was a monster for the Bunnies in 2017 - His minutes wavered quite a lot however he was starting at 19 years of age and I think Madge felt he had to pull him back a little at the time - He ran for 160 metres off the bench one game from 20 carries, he has a big motor and his defense isn't that shabby either. He's been a little guilty of not applying himself to the coaches standards in the past but he has all the ability in the world.
