LIVE GAME Round 4 vs. Eels

Live Game Discussion
You sometimes hear the term... Threading the needle.... In RL.

Galvin's pass to Jahreem after he'd burnt Blaze whatsisname was mm perfect.... I dunno how he got it past the Parra defender
I thought it ended up in one of the Parra’s players hands. For a microsecond, I thought he had overplayed his hand. But nup, he nailed it.

Ok
I think your choice of words 'sliding up' threw me a bit
Did you see Dearden on Cobbo early in the round? Tackle.of the year.
While legs tackles aren't conducive to Today's game...I agree a form of the hip drop has been around for aong time, it's the wrestling coaches that have turned it into a dengerous tackle nowadays .
Ben Smith on taniela tuiaki was the epitome of what needs to be rubbed out.. lachlans was a one on one mistake with no intent , and kelma milked it a little bit imo .. not kelmas fault but he could have got his legs out

Are you serious? Polarising? On the field he is anything but, he is a team first , standards driving winner that his team mates love to play with.. he does speak his truth, off field that can drive small minded INCELs crazy, but we have signed him for his football ability and the guys record speaks for itself …
"His truth"?

There is only one objective truth. THE truth.

I don't find him polarising but I get why some others do. He rocks the conventional footy style and stereotypes. Mainly why those DT journos hate him. You can't deny though he is a bit grubby on the field. Trips, high tackles, standing over players, taunting... I won't complain if he does it here and it benefits us, but to deny it would be ignorant

Binned for the weakest “hip drop” of all time. Tuilagi made no effort to maintain his feet and rolled backwards with the tackle.

Last game and a half he is looking Origin quality…

that out he has in his contract is starting to worry me . The other clubs are coming after him..
Have faith @Tom Shines.
He aint goin nowhere as he'll want to be a part of the most exciting thing that has happened to Wests since 2005.
We've just had Easter with the Resurrection of Jesus.
This is the Resurrection of Wests Tigers, and our 'footy' Saviour is Benji.
On the 3rd day Jesus did rise from his place of rest.
It's been a hell of a lot more than 3 days since we have been able to rise to the challenge and win 3 in a row.
9 times outa 10 it's been no more than 1 in a row.
Keep yuh fingers crossed for our game against the Fins next weekend.
If we beat them in a very hard contest, we have St. George the following weekend.
If we then beat them, it'll be 4 in a row :p ...and how long since that happened ...wow!!!

Just watched the game in full with few distractions.

Great intent but Very sloppy.

To many unforced errors and penalties.

We could of won by 20 points if we had higher percentage of ball.
good summation. Marshall said himself that we didn't stick to the gameplan that they had devised, which checks out. you certainly don't plan for your team to place itself under pressure like ours did. the key thing is that we still have a lot of work to do to get to where we need to be, and hopefully we see an improvement on our game model again this weekend.

Agree 💯 BJ
Tuilagi made it look a lot worse than it actually was, and the fact he came back on and was able to play ok shows that.
10 in the bin without being put on report would have been fair.
I hope the judiciary look at it favorably as there was absolutely no intent to hurt in the tackle.

It was probably 50/50. The commentator noticed it. We do need to do better though. Some careless penalties are really bringing us unstuck here
His hand hit the ball in an attempt to dislodge it.

Take a deep breath BZN😄

Staines to his credit kept tackling Sivo on exactly the same spot on his thigh... must have given him a deadleg.

But also Sivo, for such a physical weapon a few years ago, has totally lost his power/aggression component.
ive always wondered why players like sivo and ravalawa dont run like olam. He is like half their size and bends the line and hits like he is 3 times their size.

1947? 😉😂
It's funny how when both grades play on the same day the Magpies can have a psychological effect on the NRL team.
Against the Raiders the Magpies were trash and so were the Tigers.
Yesterday the Magpies come back to win and so do the Tigers.
Coincidence?

I said a couple of weeks ago when some on here wanted to get rid of Seyfarth that there is an NRL player in him, that's why I think they keep persevering with him,he is doing very well ATM and I can see him getting better each game...well done to the guy...
Yes, you did say that TT, I remember your post well. (y)

and Doueihi on the bench to cover all .....late in the season and thereafter....have to re-sign him!
We really don't know what Doueihi's capabilities are yet.
I've got a feeling BENJI is gonna turn him into a fair dinkum player if there enough time left in the year after he returns from injury.

For those of you who weren't there yesterday, don't underestimate the level of Tigers support at the game. There were a couple of really loud roars for the boys and really strong Tigers chants. When Gutherson took that last kick I wasn't watching him or the ball, I was focused on the touchies and then I heard this massive roar and thought it was Parra fans cheering because the ball was on line. Turns out it was Tigers fans cheering the kick because it was off line. The boys got really strong support yesterday and did all their fans proud,

Gus Gould talking about Galvin on one of his blogs before Round 1 said the kid was a real NRL player despite his age and a future rep player. Not a big fan of Gus but pretty sure he got this one right. That Bula try set up by young Lachlan was very special.
I like Gus, I think he's a smart cookie, but I don't think we see or hear the best of him on the tv.
I reckon he'd be a different person when not on tv.

Smith or Ennis (Can’t remember which) mentioned while he was lining the shot up, how much the boos were drowning out the Parra fans. I think we were probably outnumbered, but we are easily one of the loudest fan bases in the game. I was watching a YT video this morning of every try Marshall scored in 05. The try he scored in the prelim, the roar was deafening (I remember cos I was there). And the crazy thing about that was Tigers supporters only made up about 30% of the crowd that night.
