Wife does Pastitsio ..it is a Greek dish ...just amazing

Best description ...bit like the Greeks version of Shephards Pie ......

Favourite Greek dish. I think of it more like a Greek lasagne. So good

Better way to describe it
My yia yia used to cook it all the time.
My wife however ?

I'm 38 and have only ever dated 1 woman in my life that can cook. Seems pretty common these days.

Sadly I struggle to make nice crispy baked potatoes can anyone help with this.

And can anyone suggest a nice and easy steak rub to add a but of flavor.

Kebab shop pizza Demps?

Yeah, this one is from @westTAHger old ends.

Think it's called Tasteful Creations @ Waratah.

Does kebabs, pizza and Indian food.
Some of the staff look Indian and some of the staff look Turkish.

The kebabs are OK, I don't eat Indian food... but the pizzas are really good.

Kebabs, pizza and Indian food...

Sounds like a good place to open next to a pub!

Love pizza,I have been fortunate enough to have had a German mum and Polish dad...both gone now,but mum cooked great food....but what I wanted to mention in this thread,I had recently eaten a slow cooked lamb shank by an Italian chef...on a bed of sweet and normal potato mashed together and covered in the sauce from the slow cooker was a meal to die for on a cold miserable winters night...

Get a fork and really scratch and dig in to the surface of the spud. The little scuffed up bits crisp up great👍

Plenty of homemade pizza and pasta lately. Italian parents so guess that's just normal for us.

Big fan of most cuisines tho and my stomach is the proof.

If I had to choose 1 nationalities food to eat every day for the rest of my life it'd be Italian for sure. Love that stuff!

Mine would be Lebanese, Mexican and then Italian or Indian.

This is the best thing about Australia, our food culture is literally every other food culture. Everywhere I have been around this planet I cannot find such a wide variety of good quality regional food like you can in Australia.

Disagree.

I had Food in India and it's nothing like the stuff they dish up at these Indian take aways.

Yet to find a decent place around.

Malaysian food is good though.
It's kinda like mix between Indian and Chinese.

You just have to know good places to eat mate.

It's like Thai food. I've had some fantastic Thai food, and some real garbage stuff too.

I love my Lebanese and Turkish, and I will not trust any Leb/Turk food not made by a Leb/Turk (my aunty is the exception as she learned to cook it from her husband.)

Made me not like Indian.

Anyway, my choice would be Mexican, Italian and yeah, Lebanese of course. ?

Here's a simple steak rub from Adam Roberts; equal parts cracked black pepper, ground sea salt and brown sugar. https://au.news.yahoo.com/one-mistake-bbq-easy-fix-pitmaster-expert-adam-roberts-213000426.html

I reduce the sugar and add in smoked paprika and garlic powder.

Check out these for some ideas: https://www.smokedbbqsource.com/bbq-rubs-you-can-make-at-home/?utm_source=ConvertKit&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=welcome-series-homemade-rubs

No it's Chinese food cooked to Indian taste. It's essentially the Chinese food they serve in India. I'd never heard of it but my wife is Indian.

Best restaurant i've found in Sydney that serves it is Bombay Talkies in Harris Park. Probably the best regular indian food too.
