I support the concept of this game and it's one I always happen to look forward to. There's an obvious sense of honour and pride displayed from both teams and any lesser known players get an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Plus we get to watch some much needed footy.

Agree with others in that the NRL doesn't promote it as well as it could and the club's do have good reason to be concerned with the possibility of injuries. That it also needs to be revisited and modified.
Perhaps alternating venues between Australia and New Zealand or even during NAIDOC Week. The rep round with Samoa v Tonga, Fiji v PNG would also be a fantastic time.
There's nothing wrong with the game IMO just needs to be at a better time on the NRL calendar.

Man I felt exhausted watching big girl prop forward Johnston play, big hits, big hit-ups played practically all game what an effort.

Great you support the concept, I feel the cultures get more exposure in preseason, a great way to kick the year off.
Either way has merit as long as we embrace it I'm not phased that much.

She plays for Tigers in Tasha Gale and Roosters in NRLW

The NRLW only has about 6 teams atm so it is a shortened end of season comp after the Tasha Gale

Maybe it should be the winner plays on....Say Maori win it this year, they play Tonga next year, and the winner of that plays PNG the year after.....
