Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire has named his squad for Friday night’s NRL trial match against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.

As the club’s first NRL trial match of 2022, it shapes as the first chance for Members and fans to see Maguire's side in action with a number of new recruits and familiar faces to make their first appearance for Wests Tigers this season.

Liam and Gibbsy, what characters, great on and off the field.
Didn't they go into a vending machine business together?
They were always playing pranks on other players.
There was one prank that got way out of hand though, can't remember now what it was dam it.
Liam copped a few head knocks and retired prematurely and Gibbs was low balled and went to Cronulla, same with Fafita in his prime.
When will we stop letting good players go. 😤

From memory @Cobarcats....... Gibbs and Fafita were both causing problems. I could be wrong though.

I've had the feeling for a while that Madge was going to go four forwards on the bench considering we have Hastings and Peachey in the starting side to fill holes at 9 if we need it. no Simpkin this week, but I think he's shown his hand with this team list.

Madge named a stronger team than I expected but with the larger bench there’ll obviously be a fair few rotation. Should be interesting to see who excels.

On a side note does anyone know how Laurie is recovering from injury?
